cashcow Turbocharged June 30, 2016 Share June 30, 2016 Yes they allowed me to do so, bring 5L of oil cause our engine need 4.6L. They return me the remain oil. Differ brand differ policy, but u bring your oil they save money from the oil they give during servicing. I suppose there's no refund if you dun use there oil. How to void the warranty, only if the engine failed due to the oil you used. But they must gave 100% of proof. I am using this oil According to the Qashqai owner's manual, for QQ1.2 engine this oil you are using is the correct specification ie SAE 5W-40. Wondering how much it cost per 5L bottle? From the owner's manual, the engine oil specs suitable for QQ 2.0L is 5W-30. I suppose this is a lower viscosity oil grade. Very interesting.

It's best to check with nissan workshop first. Can compare the cost as well.

richard_crl032 6th Gear July 1, 2016 Share July 1, 2016 (edited) Can I check what are the maps in your GPS unit? I find my map not very updated and some POIs wrong. I registered my device with Galactio website but there are no software or map updates available. Hi Kstoh, Website is for retail and not AD's provided ones if I am not mistaken. They do not entertain query also and believe also not entertain such update else how they via TC charges for map update which is already told by TC to qashqai owners ?? Cheers. Richard According to the Qashqai owner's manual, for QQ1.2 engine this oil you are using is the correct specification ie SAE 5W-40. Wondering how much it cost per 5L bottle? From the owner's manual, the engine oil specs suitable for QQ 2.0L is 5W-30. I suppose this is a lower viscosity oil grade. Very interesting. Hi Cashcow, Indeed 1.2L dig-t with much hotter engine being turbo charged is recommended to use high viscosity oil grade 5W 40 when is needed else thinned out and offers less protection. 5W 30 is acceptable but I had been informed that you can ask for 5W 40 the next time you are at TC for servicing from mid July 2016 onwards. Recommended for 2.0L non turbo is indeed 5W 30. It will be quieter but FC will increase but should not be significant for both. Cheers. Richard Depends on the type of damage, TC may void that particular area of warranty if repaired outside. It's best to check with nissan workshop first. Can compare the cost as well. Hi Wildfaye29/Mred1-2, I certainly believe that any repaired or replaced parts done by outside workshop will be and should be void of warranty by TC. How can TC provide warranty of parts not repaired or replaced by them ?? Would you warranty anything not done by you ?? Cheers, Richard Edited July 1, 2016 by richard_crl032

Keep thinking on what poisons to get. By the way, any brother here took up any servicing packages from AD for 1.2T? I see on the website got different types of packages. What is recommended?

Hd2004 2nd Gear July 2, 2016 Share July 2, 2016 Just to share with everyone.. After driving my QQ 1.2 for a few months, there was this plastic rattling sound coming from around the glove box area when the car was moving and it is especially hearable over a rough road surface. When I took out my empty glove box, the sound stopped. So I started some troubleshootings by pressing at the support which holds the glove box and indeed sound can be heard. Next, I checked that the 2 screws which can be seen near to the glove box are tightly screwed (which everyone would try) but to no avail. Then it hits me that the screws might be tightened too much and I loosen them a bit. Amazingly, the plastic rattling sound stopped. ↡ Advertisement
