Most welcomed .. it is not difficult to diy remove and replace .. 3 mins each side once familiar but it is for yr consideration .. key point still if it is burnt socket/connector, you need/should change them .. fire hazard.

I go back to AD and has limited experience with outside ws but it would Riverview AMK Autopoint when I had my Estima from PI for 10 yrs .. not cheapest but quite professional.

Cheers.

Thanks again!! OK - understood your advise :-) Kam Siah :-)

Hi all,

I'm actually in the process of buying a used QQ 1.2(5 year old, 45k mileage) and sent for STA evaluation.

I received a Grading of B with the following remarks:

1) VEHICLE UPPER ARM BUSH SIGN OF WORN (FRONT BOTH)

2) VEHICLE ENGINE SUMP & VALVE COVER AREA SIGN OF OIL STAIN

3) VEHICLE AIR COND COMPRESSOR AREA SIGN OF OIL STAIN

I suppose 1 is normal wear and tear but should I be concerned with 2 & 3?

Massive thanks! This is my first time buying a car 🙂

yes you should be concern especially for the 1.2T which is having piston ring oil leak issues. also lost of power when driving, Item 2 and 3 are expensive item. And also turbo pipe crack is also another issue of the 1.2T. suggest if budget permits buy 2.0 instead.

Point 2 and 3 are signs of engine leak oil liao. If heng, jus need to replace gasket cover. If suay, need to overhaul engine.

BTW, the 2.0QQ also not invincible. I have colleague whose 2.0QQ engine sudden loss of power, then engine check light came on. Duno how he solved it in the end. Or maybe didn't solve and sold it cuz saw him driving a BMW not long after lol

This sounds like ignition coil issue ? but 2.0 does not have any known issue of oil leak on piston.

Morning bros,

Sent the car in for servicing today and inform SA that the brake pedal is hard after parking overnight. So after they did the initial check and came back that the brake booster & master pump assy needs to be replaced. Was quoted a whooping $3k+ quotation. Was reli shock with it. Any of the gurus here have encountered this and any advise? Thanx..
