I would have got the mazda 6 for her. But she fancy SUVs more..

I personally like the Qashqai 2.0 more.

Hi Bap,

YMMV but more $, less lux, noisy engine as well as already forester xt of mine help wife to decide on mazda 6 instead of the cx5.

Glad to say no regret thus far ...

Cheers.

Richard

PS: do compare space of qashqai and cx5

You are right! The Harrier is 15k more than the Rav4. I am quite surprised because when the Harrier HT first came out, the Rav4 was almost the same price as the Harrier. my bad.

While I agree with what Richard said about the CX-5, I think you should still test drive it.

Hi Andrew,

Ya lor, hence HT killed the previous Rav4 and Borneo smarter now to offer new Rav4 at a good previous and hence my recommendation.

Indeed go test drive and best if rent one to drive for a while since big commitment albiet new releases cannot get and I get kangchiong and forgets .. lol !

Cheers.

Richard

Hi all,

Got this from WWW. "Nissan Australia has issued a recall for its 2017-18 Qashqai over concerns a faulty Body Control Module (BCM) may not warn drivers that the indicator lamps have failed."

Hi Spoonatic,

Fortunately mine is 2 years older. The recall bulletin indicated only QQ manufactured from Sept 2017 to January 2018.

Have a nice day

You are not the only one. I didn't get the recall letter but my QQ's BCM failed on the third week after I got my car (4 Jul 18). The car engine stopped after about 3 minutes of warm up with 'START/STOP' failure and 'LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE' warning. Managed to restart the car and sent in to Tan Chong Bukit Timah. They couldn't pinpoint the fault and changed some sensors. 3 days later the same faults appeared and this time TC kept the car for 4 days and changed some sensors again. Then it happened again 1 month later and this time after diagnosing for 4 days, they found the fault to be a faulty BCM. Talk about bad luck....good car but TC's capability in troubleshooting problems is questionable.
