Need some advice guys, planning to change my tyre to Michelin Primacy 3 ST 215/60R17. Is this tyre common to use on all types of car? Or do I need to change to tyres only meant for suv? And also is primacy 4 St better?

Hi Kalthus,

Primacy 4 ST now used in my mazda 6 2.0 tells me it is not as quiet as Primacy 3 ST :(

The thread design is different enuff to tell me cannot be quieter despite Michelin's claim that it is 0.5db quieter in comparison.

Some shops may still be primacy 3 ST and pls grab before this legandary quiet tyres that grips well and last a long long time.

Cheers.

Richard

Can consider Bridgestone Turanza T005A. Some reviews on YouTube giving it higher scores than Michelin Primacy 4.

Yes, selling my car. My rim is 17inches stock, except that I have just repaired and resprayed (gun metal colour). BTW, changing the entire sets is cheaper than just the tyres (which needs balancing again).

Hi bros,

I am going on a 3weeks offsite and I am considering disconnecting the batteries from my 2016 Qashqai.

Any advice?

Not sure this is the right thing to do but I know someone always do that as he travels a lot & he got this advice from his AD.

I think @Richard_crl032 changed from T005A to Primacy 4 due to the noise.

Hi S2s1

Affirmative ... T005A stock in current Mazda 6 is no way quieter than Primacy 4 ST.

However, the Primacy 4 ST thread design is different from Primacy 3 ST and while on different car of previous Qashqai and current Forester XT, feeling as well as from notable different thread designs is that Primacy 4 ST is noiser contrary to Michelin's claim that it is 0.5db quieter.

Please also note Primacy 4 ST also seems to have both from Thailand which mine are from and also China ... I stayed with Thailand since Primacy 3 ST were only from Thailand.

If in doubt after reading this, Pirelli Scorpion Verdes used by Rover is also a good quiet comfort tyres if available in suitable size but dunno how it compares in durability which the Michelin is great ..Primacy 3 ST on forester XT at 33k and still quiet.

Cheers.

Hi Bro & Sis,

My 2005 QQ 1.2T has problem with engine pick up delay for a few sec (ard 20-30sec). The rpm didn't came up even hard press or soft press or press/ release & press the accelerator. I tried with gear to put neutral mode and same issue. This happened once especially driving more than an hour for continuous drive (as Grab car) when started to move from traffic light either slope or normal road.

I had sent my car to TC (BT) 2 times, they only consulted computer but didn't find any problem. They asked me to monitor and will test drive if prob still persist. But I know test drive will not detect this issue since they drive for a few distance; the engine will reduce heat to wait for them to test; the issue occurs only engine is hot & once in a while.

Is there anyone encounter this issue? Any suggestion?

Btw, it started happen after 110Km servicing.
