Hi Richard,

I read many articles recommending inflating tyres only when cold. Don't forget the 'new' air is cold. Purist dont suggest mixing cold and hot air (you get incorrect pressures?). Inflating tyres at cold is more straightforward. The problem is finding a pump within 1-3km of drive.

You quote ""FNA 17" (Cold) - Front 210 kPa (30 psi) , Rear 200 kPa (29 psi)"

The QQ 1.2T recommends "Front 230 kPa (33 psi) , Rear 210 kPa (30 psi)". Is this right or we are talking of another car or tyres?

Have a nice day  [confused]

Hi Robtot,

Info copied and shared from Forester thread from bro Yellobie and FNA refers to non-turbo forester while FXT is the turbo version.

Hope no longer confused ... keke !

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Pelican,

Sure non AGM normal battery for 1.2l will work but will not be as durable as AGM or EFB types and it certainly help to have stupid start-stop disabled.

Believe charging circuitry for at least pre-FL is not optimum for both 1.2L and 2.0L and not sure if Nissan fixed that for FL version.

BTW, the stop-start function often start acting up when battery is dying as experienced by many pre-FL bros.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Nautz,

May have misunderstood your query but why wouldn't a jumpstarter work to jumpstart the car battery ?

However, if battery is faulty, it will not work ... it works on battery that just missed the some minimum cranking current and voltage which is typical and hence good to have one on standby.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Richard,

I'm assuming maybe 80% of time cars battery life degraded over time which could have attributed to failed battery. And a jump start can help to move the car to a workshop for replacement. Noted on the battery faulty note. Thanks for sharing, as always!

I did that too. Ask for the account # from your SE. But they'd typically take one day to verify.

Yes, I did.

Both times when I sold my previous car and bought my recent one.

Usually seller requires Cashier Order, which I find a hassle to get from bank.

Bank transfer via FAST is instantaneous.

Seller can check bank account right after you transfer.

As a buyer, you are not worried about fake/ bounce cheques.

Just remember to bring your bank token.  [laugh]

I just signed up for NPMP at 30k. Was told 19inch tyres will need to change soon. Any recommendations for good deals for 225/45 R19?

So far I found cheapest in JB RM$460 Archilles (Indonesia) Cheapest in SG SGD$210 Nexen (Korea).

Saw Carousel Dunlop SGD$190 but cannot confirm if stock available.

Bro, don't scrimp on tyres imo. Get those reputable brands/models. Should pay more for tyres than any other parts/accessories.

Open driver's door wide. There's a D shaped piece of plastic at the side of the dashboard. Pry open this plastic and you'll see the fuse box.

My model is the 2016 model. Just flipped thru the manual. It says on passenger side. Saw a YouTube video that says its behind the glove box. Not too sure which is it.

How much? where to get?

Hey Wildfaye29,

I checked taobao sellers with bigger and some with greater thickness but think what I got from rs component with quick 2 days free shipping is about same but most importantly for my usage of also stuffing dashboard for my forester fxt with turbo and high compression engine is more suitable:

https://sg.rs-online.com/mobile/p/soundproofing/8814557/

For doors, betta to get the bigger 1.5m ones.

Btw, this attempt of also getting the thinsulate into dashboard behind headunit, speedometer and firewell is a HUGE success with one minor issue that my hazard/signalling sound is muted and very distant ... will need to pull out the module to hear it betta ...lol !!

Cheers.
