Engine oil gasket leakage is common for QQ 1.2T. A $300 thereabouts fix. Rotor is wear and tear, unavoidable for used car. Cooling system I'm not so sure, but prolly <$300 fix?. Not sure abnormal noise on road test means. Probably absorber?

All in all, prolly $1.2 to fix up everything, I think it's acceptable. How much is the depre anyway?

Wow.. i dun think 1.2k can fix all these defects, some these defects can be endless rabbit holes, budget >3k plus multiple days to visit workshop better bah.

@arunpurisg 225/45/19 not a lot of choices but still enough to choose. There's Primacy 4+ now but it's nearly $350 each. There's PS5 ($300), F1A6 ($300), GitiSport S2 ($135 but it's good enough for normal use and very capable too)

I won't go for RV-02 now cos it's old model already. If you can find new stock then need to compare price. It's a decent tire. Just that it's pre F1A5 or PS4 models. New tires new rubber. But some thing new if you need to spend quite a bit IMHO. The newer Yokohamas to me just not worth the price. I rather pay a bit more for a better tire

Thanks a lot for recommendations. I will check all of those out. Is it possible and suggested to go down to 18, for more options and cheaper tyres?

Hello Sifus,

My first post here, my 6 years old Nissan Qashqai 2.0 would have some minor skid whenever i do 90 degrees turn at MSCP, and when drove on metal cover at expressway. Previously i tried to ignore it since it did not affect the daily drive, but recently the issues have become more serious with the wet weather, with the skidding can also be felt by passenger at the back of the car

I also noticed that my new Michelin tire that I just gotten 6 months ago seem to be quite bald, previously i had done wheel alignment during the replacement.

Not sure any Qashqai out there faced this issue before?

Again, common issue with Qashqai. Alot of owners have had it changed with Tan Chong under warranty claim, including me. Sry unable to advise the cost since I replaced it under warranty. You can check with few workshops to get the best price. Most WS shld be able to do it. Gd luck!

@QQDreamer The workshop had identified the issues with the front lower arm which caused the imbalance between the front tires and caused it to wear off in such short period. Replaced the arms and new tyres, feels ok now!

I wouldn't exactly call this a Jap car.. it's direct brother / cousin is French...

The Sunny, the Cerato, Bluebird or the Godzilla etc etc are Jap..

Turbocharged

Has anyone replaced the tailgate mechanism before? how much does it cost and if you have recommended workshop?

mine does not seem to be able to hold still (8 out of 10 times) and keep the tailgate locked when I am loading/unloading stuff.
