Hey hafiras, tnx for yr reply! May I ask, when you mention that yr seat was replaced on the last mth of warranty, do you mean it's on the 2year 11mth period, or 4year 11mth period?

Tnx

Lionel

Hi ole,

3 yrs or 60k km warranty typically other than engine and gearbox with 5 yrs or 100k km warranty ... it may changes depending how desperate they need to sell cars and do check your purchase invoice.

Point is not only consider time lapsed but also mileage travelled.

Please keep us informed anf all the best.

Cheers.

Richard

Hi Guys

Got a 2016 Qashqai with about 70k on the clock

Been getting this irritating vibration at 1500rpm. Doesnt happen at any other rpms.

Not sure if its because of that that ive been looking at the rev meter more but at higher speeds it tends to fluctuate alot between 1800 to 3000

Also is there any Nissan specialists other than Tan Chong

Hi, I assume you are referring to those irritating vibration sounds from air con vents, covers at around 1500rpm. I have similar phenomena probably due to resonance, and those loose parts. Nothing can help unless secure all loosen parts in my opinion.

hmmm will probably go check if it comes from the vents.

Hi Mugenr,

There is this chronic glove compartment related noise issue for the FL version but not sure about FL ones but I believe the same ....

Noise is sometime due to wiring especially those added when they fitted GPS receivers to headunit while the design is also susceptible to making this glove compartment noise.

TanChong should be fully aware but if you may want to go the Aestmod at 23 Lorong 11 to look for Ah Boon if still not resolved ... he had help many qashqai owner on the same.

Cheers.

Hi,

Just did a servicing outside TC, was told engine oil leaking at the side of the compartment, need to dismantle and glue it back. Repair cost around $200+.

Any advise and recommendations on this repair?

Thanks

Hi guys

i urgently need recommendation of a Nissan specialist workshop to fix the suspension knock sound when go over bump. It’s really irritating especially in the morning. The right front and rear wheel sounds like bone cracking.

thanks

Hi Icetee,

Unfortunately, those who had used primacy 3 ST may be disappointed with current new version of primacy 4 ST.

Marketing BS says 0.5db lower but just examine the new thread pattern and you will understand why it is no longer as quiet. Changed out on wife's "new" mazda 6 and a bit disappointed with thr $ spent .. not worth it.

Primacy 4 ST is still quiet but no longer exceptional and guess many other options to consider now out of no choice.  Road holding may be bettet though with the new thread pattern.

Cheers.

Richard

What size BBS did you use for your previous Qashqai? How did you keep to the 19x7 or 18x7 spec by Nissan?

Hi Keefe,

My then qashqai 1.2 was on stock 17 rims and did not change to presumably BBK and not typo BBS ?

Prologic big 4 from Racetech ubi c/o Ricky surprising fit the stock rim and it worked out fine as I was not exactly burning up the road with the qashqai .. keke !

Cheers.

Hey bro, you sure your noise I'd due to the suspension, and not the seat? For my case, TC confirmed that it's the driver's seat railing issue. But still waiting for parts to arrive for replacement to be done.

Agree with you that the sound is damn annoying

Almost 5 y.o with close to 50Ks on the clock

Recently when start the aircon can hear hissing sound.

Even more recently this week, feel the aircon doesnt seem as cold as usual.

My normal setting in 24Deg with 2 fan.

Checked the compressor clutch is spinning/engaging and the aircon pipes are cold to touch.

Is it a simple aircon gas leak issue or something more?

TIA.

Could be AC gas not enough. Just a simple top up of AC gas should solve the issue. Do take note that both overfilling and underfilling the gas can lead to the hissing noise. Happened to my FIT before.

Hi All

I bought a 2yr old FL QQ a while back, any bros tried installing a oil catch tank on the FL model? Cos the TC SA told me he got a customer that kanna misfiring issues after installing on FL QQ and end up TC remove the oil catch then ok liao. He says he saw pre FL model no prob with oil catch tank but seems to cock up the AF ratio for FL model. I guessing its same engine different tuning? Or maybe the brand/design of the oil catch tank matters?
