Budgetice 3rd Gear October 25, 2018 Share October 25, 2018 Hi does anyone has electrical failure issue? I am driving a pre-owned QQ 2.0 for a year & it happened today. Car was manufactured in 2014 n i am the 2nd owner. Mileage was 35k when I bought over last year. The power windows, IU, power tailgate, folding side mirror are not working. Mechanic run a diagnosis but cannot detect any fault. He spend a few hours checking on cables, connections etc but all seem to be normal. Check on battery, which I replaced only a few months ago, with unstable voltage. So replaced a new one & all back to normal. But the same problem comes back immediately the moment I exit the car park gantry so no choice U turn back. So no choice but to leave the car in the workshop for further check tomorrow. Hopefully can get the problems rectify without burning a big hole in my pocket..... Anyone with similar experience pls share. Thanks! Could the 3 items u mentioned be after market parts and not original from nissan? How about u change the folding side mirror module at ur workshop first and see if the problem persist? Shld be quite cheap for those after market ones.. ↡ Advertisement
RogerNg_185295 6th Gear October 26, 2018 Share October 26, 2018 So many issues popping up ..... Good luck guys m.. . Well, that's why previous owner quickly offload this car at a huge loss. No guarantee the younger the car is ,the less problems it will face

The items mention came together when i purchased the car. All power windows & IU have no sign of modification. Qs: The folding side mirror is it an original or standard accessory that came with the car when newly purchased? Power tailgate is confirmed aftermarket.... While zoom down to these 2 items. Thank you Budgetice.

Broken fuse???. If so please check what causes the fuse to 'blow'. Best Regards
Olderman 1st Gear October 26, 2018 Share October 26, 2018 Sorry but wish to check for your claim on creased driver seats. u mean TC can help u change that? mine also has such issue and its only with the driver seat. was initally thinking to go to the leather shop to do the change i also experience alot of thread appearing at the perforated leather for 1 of the passenger seat. not sure if this is an issue Hi Yes, my QQ owner fren told me about this seat leather warranty otherwise I didn't know can claim also. Mine is a fist size hump protruding up at the butt area, but like I mentioned the new leather only lasted 01 month only - wasted 1/2 day there !. As for thread appearing, I do not have this prob. Just that it's irritating as dirt gets stuck easily in those perforation & hard to get them out.
Olderman 1st Gear October 26, 2018 Share October 26, 2018 (edited) Hey guys, I'm driving a used QQ 1.2L for about a month now. Car is about 3 years old. Recently, the amber check engine light has been intermittently appearing randomly but car still drives fine. However I got a 'Chassis Control System Fault Error' and loss of traction control yesterday while driving in a carpark. Parked the car for a couple of hours and the error went away. (Check engine light was still appearing randomly) I then sent the car to the dealer's workshop where they reset the system and told me to monitor. They added that the installed throttle controller (Freepower S-Drive) might be the cause. Is there any recommended workshop I could visit for a proper troubleshoot on this? Thanks!! Hi For me, I wld say Qashqai's electronics sucks - big time !, (my previous 2 x Sunny no such issue) I am getting such error/warning often : - 'key cannot be recognised', but still can start & drive - after start engine with radio playing & press change channel button on steering wheel, 'Audio Off' displayed on meter display - while in Cruise Control, pushing Speed up/down - no response (must try a few times) or it will jump from 90 to 105km/hr - recent new addition, when using steering wheel channel change button it will skips 1 channel at time To me, these are "liveable" issues so can't be bothered waste time sending in to rectify (which most probably cannot be settled in a single visit !. therock Supersonic October 27, 2018 Share October 27, 2018 If these QC issues are prevalent then it’s something buyers should know .. The Qashqai is ultimately a Jap branded French design, UK built car with all the caveats.. My own short rental stint of 10 days was that of a well designed car with good handling and decent features..
poorcarowner 1st Gear October 27, 2018 Share October 27, 2018 Think its some loose hose .. this is jap brand , french quality and british QC Finally, I went to do my servicing this morning at the Loke Yang TC. some sweet and some bitter experiences.. wish to share, maybe others can relate to it or find it useful. First good experience: I had two issues that I had mentioned earlier, 1st one was a weird vibrating sound near the 1500 rpm mark... So I told them about it and then I drove with the mechanic.. Damn it, when I drove with the mechanic, cannot hear any sounds.. bloody hell! dont know what the heck was happening.. Anyway, he said he will look into it while servicing. Apparently they tightened something on front body (not sure what), but when I got the car back, it seems to be fine now. So at least one issue solved for now. Lets see. 2nd issue about the aircon smell, you guys were right, it was the aircon filter. They cleaned the filter for me, so now thats taken care of. Now comes the highly frustrating and irritating part: When I bought the car, it was just over 3 years old, so I assumed that got another 2 years warranty. I also read on the Nissan singapore website that the 2 year Infinity shield warranty is transferrable so I didnt expect any problems. But today when I asked them to transfer, they refused to transfer. So first they said, ask the previous owner to call in and then we can transfer the warranty. So I messaged my car sales guy to check on this. since the car is temporarily transferred to the dealer during transaction, I thought he could transfer it to me. The car is already in my name now. But when he called the Nissan people, they come up with new rule that only owner to owner sale has the facility of warranty transfer. Since the car when through the dealer, cannot transfer the warranty! What the @#$%^^&! I call here, call there, talk to the person in Loke yang, but to no avail. They point blank refuse to do anything. I showed them the Nissan website, still just keep saying got terms and conditions that you should read! I told them you look at the Nissan website, they advertise straight forward. never mention got terms and conditions or whatever! I got screenshot also! Still nothing. Anyone has any suggestions for this? I even offered to pay for whatever 119 points test they want to do for warranty transfer, but they still refuse! Grrrrrrr I am so damn angry and irritated right now.
Tazzi80 3rd Gear October 27, 2018 Share October 27, 2018 Just be careful of the cars that have various mods when you purchase them 2nd hand. Always have problems after a while which is why some owners are selling them after modding here and there. No point modding too much and afterwards risk voiding warranty or the car having problem or turn into ash.
