its designed to be this way due to safety reason. e.g in e event of fire, passenger can just exit the car even if locked.

not sure if anyone here did the modification. im using child lock only

Hi Weiqiang/jqjq,

I had bought the tiong door locks for all door but with the needed cables only for the rear  to mod this about 1.5 yrs ago ... all worked but once the engine is switch on, it no longer work as we have superlock function which ECU detects missed in these tiong doors locks.

I managed to find out how to disable superlock function from the diagnostic tool I have and any bro can contact me if you wish to attempt to do so.

Please read on superlock to understand that why I believe it is not required and had worked on this mod for bros with younger children.

However, please note that the tiong door lock handles are not chromed like ours and not sure if can be modded over ... and this mod with installation and parts will not be cheap at about close to sgd500 but yours will be the only one in Singapore ... lol !

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Melvinyuen,

You may like to try to 'silence' these cables after removing the glove box cover.

Best Regards [thumbsup][idea]

Hi all bros,

Recently I am encountered engine off when going up and stop at ramp or slope, do any bros encountered this kind of problem before?

Sent the car to TC and they don't found any issue on my car for one day, my car battery still 100% and healthy.

Did not experience this but keen to find out more about your experience. Did it happened frequently? Or just once? Did you install any auto stop/start switched off button? Did it happen when you are accelerating or when you step on the brake?

Hi Melvin,

Not only cable then, you may need to insulate bwtween glove and dash cavity with rectangular sponge.

However, I do not have the detail as done by Aestmod and no plan to touch it to see after quiet quiet for 1 yr + .. lol !

Cheers.

Hi Fupo/Haikinkin,

Should this happen again, pls try to take note if rpm gets stuck at 1k rpm however you accelerate.

It happened to me 3 times >1 yr ago, the 3rd time on same day after I updated some software by TanChong ...but fortunately no more occurrence after major overhaul done.

Cheers.

Hi all,

Sometime back I posted issues about my car dying or stalling when moving from a stop.

Just few days ago it occurred again and this time I had it all recorded down so tc could view it.

Sent it for servicing just a day ago and they finally discovered it was due to a faulty sensor in the cam shaft that made the car stall.

They have since replaced it and fingers crossed it’s fine.

Hope this helps anyone who had the same issue as me, some did pm me about it.

my old Hyundai ride also same problem.

both cam position sensor and crank position damage... causing the engine stall.

worse case is one time the rpm suddenly shoot up without I step on gas pedal...

Hi Guys, my 2016 1.2T QQ is on its third year and I am thinking of servicing my car at third party service provider.

Would you recommend to service the car under a third party service provider, taking into consideration the warranty given by Tan Chong?

If yes, which would you recommend?

Thanks!

For those who are still experiencing rattling at the left side of the dashboard, you can try opening the left side cover. Most likely it is caused by loose cables rattling inside. Just use cable ties to fix the cables or stuff some sponge inside.

Just need to pull the cover open with your fingers, it is easy to do so.

Go for more established ones, like stamford etc, cause when there is a dispute on warranty claim, higher chance can claim
