Sent my car to Bukit Timah for servicing today and noticed few deep "chips" on one of the rims when pumping air at petrol station.

Going back tomorrow morning to seek explanation.

Bros, pls check before driving off..

getting the frame with blades would be better.

Thanks for all the advice for the windscreen wiper replacement. Just got a new pair from Autobacs today. Bosch Aerotwin, 650mm and 425mm for the front pair. Changed the whole frame as there was no suitable replacement for just the rubber strip.

Anyway now got offer, $34.95 for a pair of the Bosch wipers. Very easy to change by myself also.

When there is a tyre rotation scheduled, also needs to do some markings of sort to ensure that they do it.

For your case, they shall deny and put the blame on you for not checking. This is Singapore ... we pay big money for lousy services:)

SA acknowledged the "dings" and offered to repair and respray the rim during my next servicing..

He was polite throughout hence I did not push further.

Only concern is not sure if 1 day is sufficient.

Hi folks

I am considering getting a June 2015 QQ.

I have heard some nagging issues about this car that I don’t hear from Altis or Civic.

May I know what should I be taking note of before buying this car? What are the nagging issues that you guys faced?

Hi Eric,

You got PM !

Cheers,

Richard

Hi Hi anyone here has a reliable link to purchase the obd splitter 1 to 2. looking at local online retailer.

Hi Weiqiang,

Please go to Aestmod to ask Ah Boon and pay him SGD10 for 1-3 obd splitter ... I should have some left there.

Hope this help and google for shop contact if interested.

Cheers,

Richard

My free npmp is ending.

Is it worthwhile to buy a new npmp?

Good question. I also want to know. Although the service at Lok Yang is so so only, it is authorised workshop and so at least they can repair stuff if needed. Also, it is near my workplace so I don't need to take leave to send the car for servicing.

Hi all, know this would have been mentioned. i understand that we could install strutbar to reduce the body roll feeling when we make corner, however there seem to be a lot of places we can install strut bar like front bar, front lower arm bar, middle lower arm bar, rear lower arm bar and front lower side arm bar. can i check which are more crucial one to install to reduce the body roll feeling and better handling?

front strut bar will be the essential one.

Hi Weiqiang,

Agreed with babyjio ....

Front strut to tighten up a bit of the vague steering together with setting of Sports mode.

Subjective and individual preference but qashqai ride is great ... stable, composed and comfortable.

Cheers,

Richard

PS:  Was at Aestmod and left with one spare obd 1-3 cable as someone just bought one ... sorry but it is sgd15 and not sgd10 as bought from Taobao

Hi Wildfaye,

Think as the car ages will we need more TLC and hence I would do so especially more major maintenance change of parts.

For my case, I do not have the major concern of TanChong's service on taking the whole day as I have addition car and just leave it there on Sat morning before having nice soft boiled eggs and bread at 6th Ave and and collect it around 3-4 pm.

So far, the Service Manager, Kwek, and Technical Manager, CheeKeong, had been more than fair in dealing with both minor and major issues with my 1.2l qashqai.

Cheers,

Richard
