richard_crl032 6th Gear April 19, 2017 Share April 19, 2017 Dear all, I remember vaguely somewhere in this forum that our DRL is on 4300K. Am currently considering changing the halogen lights to either philips diamond vision 5000k or crystal vision 4300k. Which one would be a better choice so that the brightness of the DRL will be the same as the bulbs. Thanks! Hi CLW37, Diamond Vision is fine but believe you are aware that it is not suitable if you drive at nite on nshway ... throw is bad. Even Philips LED had been changed out by at least 2 bros that I am aware of and it cost SGD200 Cheers, Richard ↡ Advertisement

richard_crl032 6th Gear April 19, 2017 Share April 19, 2017 (edited) That's sad! Do you know where else i can do this mod? What's the price range? Hi phtdcks, You can get generic ones from Taobao with external indicators easily for SGD300 and it will cost you SGD150 to install. For the stock looking side mirror mod, it is not longer available and we had to buy our UK qashqai mirror to send to China factory as sample to tool up the mirror mounting since tiong qashqai mirror mounting is different. We took the opportunity to include blue antiglare mirror and hence hard to tell you how much it cost me and the bros but it was good fun and really good safety feature albeit not a cheap mod. Cheers, Richard Hi Richard, Thanks for the prompt reply. Any recommend workshop to change the lights. I do not have the skills to change out the lights myself and would prefer professional help :).. Btw just pm-ed you to be added to watsapp group. Cheers! Hi CLW37, Easy peasy and sure, get the philips diamond vision H11 for the low beam headlight and let me know when you received it and I can fit it for you. PyscoLatio Clutched April 19, 2017 Share April 19, 2017 Did not drive my 1 yr old QQ for 2 days. last serviced in feb 2017 in TC. It was parked in a basement carpark. No one burning incense around my place. this morning when i turned on the aircon, it spewed white particles (quite a lot) for around 10 secs before it cleared up. has anyone encountered the same? QQ soft? I think it is much much better than latio. Drove Latio before. The body seem harder. Or maybe I had resprayed the car thrice. Hahaha. Thanks all for the recommendation. It could be 9-18 mths that you need to replace them with HID being a bit worse and explicitly mentioned as illegal at LTA website. Cheers. Aircon filter is recommended to be changed every 20k km and TC charges almost sgd for it. You can buy them here on mcf sellers for sgd15-20 and have TC change it for you if you are under NPMS ...our whatsapp MO king bought 120 pcs I think of tiong qashqai aircon filters for bros there. My sincere apology for not posting this earlier but Admin has to ceased admitting more yesterday as the recent additions had ballooned to 250 assigned. Will certainly hope to extend to your kindself should those new bros failed to collect their FOC decals in the next 2-3 weeks. Hi Kxbc, Betta change aircon filter cos not good for your breathing especially your family members. Go to TC and they will change free for you since only 13k km but show them the evidence ... photos, actual particles etc. Cheers, Richard
nashstruck 1st Gear April 20, 2017 Share April 20, 2017 (edited) Hi nashstruck, Our qashqai can open doors by inside passengers regardless autolock or not ... it only prevents crook outside from getting in with in central lock mode. This is one of the key reason for the this OBD module as it flashes hazard lights when any door are opened to warn oncoming traffic especially with young children unless you activate the troublesome child lock. Mod is available for 2.0L with inner lock with typical catch and cable from tiong Qashqai to circumvent this but not available for 1.2L as the latter is with superlock that tiong qashqai and 2.0L do not have. The mod I tried works fine for the 1.2L without engine being switched on but once engine is switched on, BCM detects missed superlock existence and mod does not work .... I do not have Nissan Consult 3 hardware to disable superlock for the 1.2L to try further. BTW, new version of this OBD autolock has added self lock function which I will avoid cos it can bypass our usual sensors and lock car doors even if remote is in car ... imagine during service or ws or valet. It also flashes hazard lights when reversing which I think is dangerous since flashing means stationary and not reversing which may confusion on-coming vehicles. I bought this new version to try and lelong it away to stay with the posted older version. Cheers, Richard Hey Richard, Thanks for the super detailed reply. I think I didn't understand some parts of it, hope you don't mind confirming if I understand correctly (highlighted in bold). 1. I'm driving the QQ 2.0. Therefore, am I right to say that the OBD mod WILL work for my QQ? 2. Does my QQ have super lock? From your statement, I believe it doesn't have super lock. How come the QQ 1.2 have super lock but the 2.0 doesn't have super lock? Manufacture variability? 3. I posted a photo of the manual from one of the OBD lock found on alibaba with good reviews. This one says clearly that the self lock function isn't activated at default for situation when your engine off and you never lock car for 60 seconds. But it does give option to activate it (which of course I think we shouldn't do for safety reasons). -- See photo attached. 4. Finally, does tiong Qashqai sell the OBD Lock? (I never heard of the place before and just had to google it). Any idea how much and if it works? The one I'm thinking of getting is this one. Reviews seem quite good. --> https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Free-Shipping-Car-Auto-OBD-Plug-And-Play-Speed-Lock-Unlock-Device-For-Nissan-Qashqai-2016/2227171_32684903309.html?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.YFED2Q TIA!! Hi nashstruck, No worry ..I also learn alot from bros here and especially those in whatsapp group. 1. Obd mod means the autolock obd module ? Yes if then yes. 2. Believe as designed for 2.0l without superlock but 1.2L is an optional feature which I believe TC also din know. 2.0L was released at least 1 year earlier and meant primarily for Australian market and hence signal and wiper sticks are like Jap while European market is primarily a diesel car market. Believe 1.2L is limited to Asia Pacific countries with xtronic while all other countries are primarily manual. 3. Same one I had ..if not using the feature why risk having it ? Just get the older one and not forgetting the strange flashing hazard lights when reversing. 4. Not sure what is obd lock you mentioned but tiong or short for tiongkok Qashqai simply means China Qashqai ..sorry. If obd lock means inner door lock with catch that prevents passengers to open from inside even when central lock is activated, it is hard to get cos only authorised workshop have them as spare parts when I was sourcing it. One set of lock and cable for each door cost me about sgd150 or sgd300 for both rear doors. Cheers. Richard
