Tok 1st Gear May 3, 2016 Share May 3, 2016 Sent my jaguar for first servicing, Told the service consultant it was jerking at low speed. A fellow jaguar owner experienced the same thing but he said his mechanic in England told him it could be rectified with tuning, he owns the same model in England. However the service consultant said Jaguar Singapore has no similar computer software. I suppose he expects us to live with the shortcoming of the car at low speed. I was puzzled: if it is available in UK how could it not be available to Jaguar Singapore!!! I emailed Wearnes to suggest that they bring in the software for the benefit of their customers in Singapore. Guess what, the consultant called to say he would update my car software but he is not sure if it would rectify the issue of jerkiness at low speed. He also explained that the software update has nothing to do with tuning as tuning involves taking apart the car engine and Jaguar Singapore would not do it. I still don't comprehend the service consultant's explanation. But I left it at that as the car is now more pleasant to drive at low speed. There is a further surprise. The consultant charged me for the software update!!! I wrote to Wearnes the next day that I should not be charged for the update, anyway it should be covered under the warranty. The service consultant called to say he had wrongly charged me and would refund me the money. The service consultant nearly drove me nut. It is suppose to be a routine servicing but so much time had been wasted in making clarification. What do you make of such a service consultant? ↡ Advertisement

Service consultants are there to do their job and these are not their own car so most won't put much effort into it. You are a very hardworking owner to do the research and chase Wearnes. Perhaps if you didn't pay then the process would have been slightly shorter. I would not pay if I think it should be covered under warranty.

Called the news hotline and make it big man. Then the AD will settle the issue or else they dun scare u de. Suing a AD nt easy but when they see their reputation gonna gt tarnish they will settle.
bttoh 1st Gear May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 very very upset how they treat customer cars. My brand new sports rims, 3 of them all scracted....!!!! Steal my car and yet dunno how to drive... I think the driver is drunk!
Newbie26 Hypersonic May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 Sorry to hear this unpleasant experience. Must be terribly upsetting But it is very strange for an AD to hand over your car after service without basic interior cleaning and car wash If this has happened, you might not have picked this up immediately You should take extensive photos of all those things you mentioned as evidence. Hope they sort this out after they have done their investigations and work out a compensation for you. Silll find it hard to believe this has actually happened though very very upset how they treat customer cars. My brand new sports rims, 3 of them all scracted....!!!! NOTHING has been done, not even car wash, and now I wonder if they changed my engine oils.I took a lot of pictures on all the damages, and trust me, all scratches are not hair line, all scratches are deep cut scratches... really really vey upset... hard earned money to buy a luxury car, and this is how Wearnes treat their customersss ... this is their slogan " Wearnes Experience" To add on, my car only 6 months old, and is my first servicing too. Emils 2nd Gear May 21, 2017 Share May 21, 2017 Just curious. Did you raise the damages to your car on the spot, or only after driving out the car from the workshop? If the latter, they may claim that the damage was caused by you after driving off the car?

I thought usually AD will record the car condition and mileage and you sign the form before they drive the car into the workshop. Bot sure about Wearnes.. my last experience with CnC was the above.. ↡ Advertisement
