Does anyone know this month which date is the last day to buy May 2016 PQP?

My car COE expires 4 June. It seems like June PQP will be higher....

Hi Frost

Just to share, my car will also be due next month.... we can renew/extend our coe for

next 5 or 10 years this or next month, see attached link

http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/lta_information_guidelines/maintain_vehicle/coe1.html

You are right, the sweet spot for coe-pqp is this month, make sure u do so before end of May  [;)]

After Uber have achieved their target of 1800 COEs, & the 1400 orders from Cars@Expo have been submitted, Coe will definitely come down... The only question is how much. ð I think possible to go below 40k but not much lower...

I can tell you what I saw.

About 1000 bids at cat A in this round at $37k were unsuccessful . If I take away from the next fortnight bid of 2200 available cat A Coe and assuming that the number of revision of price in that 1000 unsuccessful bids were insignificant (each of those comprised of one bidder) , it means that only 1200 cat A remains available in the next round.

For cat B , the unsuccessful was 800 bids at $38k meaning only 600 cat B remains.

It is likely not the case therefore that Coe price will be markedly lower next round given the high number of unfulfilled bids at the $37 k support level.

Thanks Eric as this is a very good info considering the fact ~80% of the Un-successful bids

(1000/1200 & 800/1000 for cat A & B) are 37k~38K range. This data shows $40K is very achievable in few bids.

Good to wait for a while to save few $K ($5k~$7k).

Agreed. That's still not counting car dealers who have received orders but did not put in bids and people are still waiting on sidelines to order their cars. I have 2 colleagues who are in the latter group...

If this round not too many spoiled votes bids, our government will be bagging a record breaking $229mil in COE revenue, smashing the previous record of $214mil acheived exactly a year ago, or about 24% more than $184mil collected just 2 weeks ago.

Basing on this trend, total revenue collected from COE bidding alone will be ~$4bil or more for the whole of 2016! LTA huat arh...

No wonder can spend few bio a year buying helicopters and weapons. u drive more cars we will hv more fighter planes n choppers

Think a lot of noise but didn't quite gain traction. Quite difficult to implement as the business model of uber type is very different from taxi companies. Our gahment already said let market forces take its natural course - in other words laissez-faire. The bidding by these business will run its course - it's only a matter of time.

But I am pretty surprised that with the malls so quiet in town and retailers not doing well, cars seem to register spectacular sales. It's a small country yet thousands and thousands of car is up for Coe bids every fortnight. Can really say this country is really car craze. Thousands thousands...really. Am equally culpable.
