One of the parent from my kid's kindergarten always drive his 2 seaters to send his kid who sits on his wife's lap to school. i believe they have been doing that since the baby was born Your case not uncommon LA. I realised the mother occasionally let him steer the car while he was in the front passenger seat and also let him shift gears for him.... At that time, I was still young, so I thought it was fun. That, to me, is really reckless driving man. I mean, I could have gone off the road staring at them leh! . I realised the mother occasionally let him steer the car while he was in the front passenger seat and also let him shift gears for him.... At that time, I was still young, so I thought it was fun. Hey my dad did that too when I was young. Not the steering part but the gear shifting. My dad would ask me or my sis to switch gears while he controls the clutch, that's how we found out changing 2nd to 3rd gear is very tricky. But that was like what, 30 years ago. Traffic were lighter, cars were slower and less urgent and no exploding airbags to worry. we did it when the coast is clear too. Those were the days.
