I feel sports mode is not bad for this big suv. But want to improve the acceleration on Eco mode also.

 

Does the throttle booster improve the acceleration even more than sports mode?

depends on your priorities... the Harrier has a lot of luxury touches, but the CX-5 has a very conti feel I think.

No offence taken at all bro. I brought it because of the nice exterior and interior. I actually did test drive it but it was a super short drive round the estate at the dealer, less than 5 mins and never had the chance of flooring it. I know I can't expect much from a CVT and brought it with my eyes open. But, just me that I am really not happy with the CVT power delivery. This should not put others off from buying this car. Like I said it is a solid car with very good Fc. :)

Hard to explain in words but I will try. You imagine a rubber band being stretched when u punched the accelerator. You hear the engine noise and see the rpm shoot up. But the car just won't go instantly and will just pick up speed very very smoothly. Over taking needs some planning in advance but pick up is much better as you are in higher crusing speed.

 

Strangely when I was in the states, I was driving a Nissan with a CVT gb but I thought that was quite good. Maybe that was a 2500cc car.

I just sold my harrier. Very good looking car inside out but I am not used to the CVT gb.

How is the depreciation for such a new car
