It is the other aspects of self-importing that is difficult for a layman. Even if you have experience dealing with freight as part of your business, let's not forget the registration with LTA....

Nice. Tesla M3 is the most exciting car in 2016.If successful, oil demand will be down, crude going to drop to $20 and our Ron 95 going to remain $2 for a long time.

I estimate it will be around 100-120k by the time it reaches SG, assuming the current COE holds. Not sure if that represents a value buy given the difficulty in charging it, unless you live in landed or condo with charging points.

Yes. It prob won't kill the 3 series in Singapore but Singapore is hardly a meaningful market for auto makers. If Tesla manages to kill the 3 series market in US and other major markets, BMW will def feel the pressure on their bottom line.

Heard Tesla Model S already outselling BMW 7 in US. The model 3 is priced at USD 35000, well in the range of BMW 3 series. Unless the next BMW 3 series has something different to offer, I think model 3 can easily outsell the 3 series. The preorders already hit 115000 yesterday.

That depends on the OMV, they usually strip out the good stuff before the cars reach here. If the 35k one is shipped in directly then it might not even be 150k... could be 170k.

Wow. Just wow. You're basing your opinion on all electric cars based on an experience with a scooter?

 

At least test drive one. I did (even if not the Tesla).
