Am I the only one who use it to get a taxi license? Not a lot of real useful courses under $500 anyway.

TVDL and PVDL exam is based on facts memory.

If you want to test if you're getting older and/or forgetting numbers, take the exam.

If you fail, it means your brain cells are dying. [laugh]

PR are not eligible to skillsfuture credit.

WRONG

PR are claßified as singapore cotizen and gets the full benefit as well so that they are not disadvantage.

But because the cpf rates are way less, they are cheaper to employ yet dont have any reservist disruption.

I went to ComfortDelgro at Sin Ming. The trainers there tend to give more tips, so the passing rate is higher.

Begin with an end in mind.

What do you wish to equip yourself?

If it’s to squeeze off the trigger of your entitlement, there are training for using smart phone n excel or Microsoft PowerPoint.

If you looking for a change n are at least 50 years old, there are transitioning program with heavy subsidies in the region of 90% off the course fee.

There are Also pcp program where the government food 50% of your salary to the organisation that hires you up to 6000 dollars per month salary for 6 months followed by CSP program which takes you to one year limit.

In Essence there are many directions you can leverage on. Just that not sure what you are looking at.

I took TDVL long ago at Tampines Safra. I attended something like 30+ lessons and it cost more than $200. After maintaining it for about 5-6 years, I let it lapse as it required the licence holder to go for yearly medical exam. I said forget it and let it lapse!

Just slightly off topic, is a taxi driver, the only job reserved for citizens other than SAF? Talking about typical jobs for the masses and not MP or ministers.

Policeman can be a PR right?

I am a security guard so in 2019, I will be spending my SkillsFuture credit on courses for security guards.

This year (2018), I spent it all on an Adobe InDesign course because I was trying to do the layout for my book.

Took the TDVL from Comfort Delgro Sin Ming and managed to pass. Thanks to Bro Lethalstrike...shared with me a lot of info.

Also manage to claimed $240 out of $290 from Skillsfuture.

Those who don't know what to do with the $500 credit, can consider this. It's a 2 days course only plus another day for test. I got it done all in a week.

Just take it as a backup, in case next time need to drive PHV or taxi.

If not, hope SPC extend the 22% off petrol for TDVL/PDVL drivers another half year.
