Komoco sales always will tell you that the car has everything already... there's nothing they can give you that the car doesn't already have... so ask for one year lor... ask for dual channel car cameras... ask for better solar film (= Vkool, no need to top up)... or trade the servicing for lower price lor... anyway the Accent price is so low, I don't think you'll get many freebies lar...

Oh...the camera given sucks. If possible , ask them for rebate instead

Yea I got a GPS which I hardly use (usually only when I go for road trips in Malaysia ). Yeah I hardly use the street directory but having a hard copy in the car is comforting in case my phone no battery, no GPS, I still have a backup.

 

I always believe in a manual backup just in case electronics fail.

i already salute those past taxi uncles, they can stop at road side, check on the street directory and send you to the correct destination.

for me, i used to have GPS.. but since we got wonderful road apps, i been using it.

very useful to tell you road block, AES, object on road, road kill..

The car is a nice drive for drivers but as passenger maybe not so comfort, suspension abit stiff. Mods plenty online can buy, Philippines mod until quite fierce, their exhaust very loud lol.

accessories are rare..

 

anyone knows if this engine, runs on timing chain or belt?

I'm more practical person, i just need an arm rest , the car boot mat (black in color, plastic type) and window visor.

yeah, accent is really a temptation, i think if i were to test/view this weekend, i will be even poisoned further. 

 

I'm a sentimental person, for some reason, i just can't part my current car.    (of course, i can't possibly own 2 cars...)

Currently i'm depreciating $450 monthly, the new car will cost $583,

an increase of $133 which is still manageable.

 

the only contemplation that i got is : will coe goes down further?

I know this is a crystal ball question, but pardon me. Being frugal is in my blood, buying a car is a big dollar purchase for me.

Hence, i need to factor all consideration and possibilities.

 

p.s: what car are you driving? i thought i saw you mentioning about buying for your parents.

Current FL model comes with center console aka arm rest. Boot mat can get from eBay around $30+, rubber type water proof. Visor also eBay around $40.

Assuming no changes in govt regulations. The next potential bump in coe numbers would be 2nd half of 2019. I doubt many of the coe Car expiring in 4/2019 will be renewed. Many will be more than 20years old and unless it’s a rare car, quite some will be scrapped. Their coe will then be recycled in about 3mths later. You’ll probably see a drop in coe prices vs 1-2 mths prior. But then this is 1.5 years down the road. Who knows what will be coe prices then.
