Please don't say it as "PRC tourists in Bangkok" as my PRC friend says it is common in Singapore's buffet too.

Right, if these PRC tourists come to Singapore, this of course happens to Singapore's buffet.

I think Singaporeans learning from them. Yesterday I was at a buffet and there was this Singaporean couple using their hands to pick the seafood cuz there was a queue and all the tongs are taken up. They cannot use plate to scoop cuz got alot of ice. Lol. I bet if no ice they will use the plate like those in the video. Confirm Singaporean cuz I heard them talking and discussing how to make the buffet more value for money.

Some chao AT already converted and holding Tiongkapore Pink IC.

You'll be surprised some of them already speak the language like a normal true born local.

Don't think so. Cuz the way they speak definitely Singaporean. Plus they can't really speak mandarin very well.

No way ahtiong can speak like a true blue Singaporean unless study primary school here until grown up. .. Even a closely related converted Malaysian adult has some kind of accent or choices of words which could be differentiated them from local born. ...

China no prawn ah?

yes. in the interior, the seafood is freshwater fish and shrimp.

Definitely to the ones living at the coast, these are common dishes.

My parents been to several cities in the interior, they say the fish and seafood quality there is really low. Only once a while, one of the freshwater fishes taste nice. And usually it's also super expensive. Like $60/fish. Not different from singapore prices  [hur]

When I was a kid - 30years ago, see and participate (cheong ah!) in same buffet situation in SG restaurant.

Give the PRCs some decades and they will become tamer.

give us some credit lah. We never cheong to this extent. I remember cheonging to get some prawns or sashimi etc. But people won't push or jostle until like that LOL

Please don't get me wrong in trying to defend the Chinese tourists. I just want to share what I think of the situation. Even if there are 10 serving stations to serve more than the stations can served, when the queue is long and food insufficient, this will happen.

I would be very surprise if there are plenty of foods and alternative serving counters, yet these people choose to squeeze to 1 counter and rush for the foods. Would you?

Of course, there are also situations where people still rush and behave badly even there is no need to fight over things. They just don't want to loose out. China has opens her doors for the past 15 to 20 years. Many are just walking out of isolation for the first time. They do need to see the world to know what is going on and they are not alone. The world is big enough to accommodate everyone.  we just need to respect each other.

Obviously, this is lacking !

More pictures for you. Guess the number of prawns they have plundered.

Nowonder, there is one time when the news is quite wide spread in stomp that the international buffet at novena ( think is at United square 2). They charge one of the prc lady for food wastage by weighing how heavy on the black plastic bag and the prc lady was piss off and quarreled with the supervisor and that caught on video in stomp. Don't know who still remember? Haah

Usually restaurant won't do that but maybe it seems too extreme that they will have to enforce on the food wastage policy they put in place. Surely people see how the prc waste food also quite Tulan one.

I think all Restaurant and hotels should enforce such policies. Really hates those jokers that take plates and plates of food and in the end, wasting it. :omg::serious-business::veryangry:

How to respect someone who does not respect others? They grab the food and waste it without thinking whether other people can get to eat or not.. 人渣

Birds of a feather flock together la... They travel together.. Strength in numbers... Juz avoid... Don't see won't be pissed

I understand ur effort in trying to defend them. There will be good eggs and there will be bad ones.. I also hv close friends from China who are embarrassed by what they see... But I respect them for saying they are from China.. Even holding on to other citizenship... What I despise are China people holding Singapore citizenship bashing their own countrymen...
