How often do you go overseas per year? Actually spending money on taking taxi is still ok la, whether it is mid-night charge or normal rate charge.

I find it weird that TS want to save on parking fee at CA against a costly vehicle who might get vandalised and repair cost more than booking a cab ... :slow:

Might as well TS rent it out to some Uber or GrabTaxi drivers during his days of absent. This way, he can make some money by renting his vehicle and also the Uber or GrabTaxi driver could sent & pick him up from airport. :serious-business:

I wonder who can guarantee a car parked at CA will not be vandalised?

Any vehicle parked at a public car park are open to risk of vandalism [laugh]

WOW... folks.. hold ur guns..

Is my fault for not making it clear enough.

Yes im travelling from the west area...

Im not asking to park near changi airport but somewhere nearby so that i can minimize the taxi fares.

Why i need to cause when we return, it will be past midnight and if i have my own car, i can send all of them back.

That's my intention......

Cool ok...

Bro. Just park at the airport and share the cost with the rest of your passengers since you are sending them after midnight. Save the hassle of pulling all the luggage & duty free from airport to the place where your car is parked.....alternatively since you said you are sending them back (chances it's along the way) why not just share a cab from the airport & drop off ?

Bro. Something tells me you are going on a secret trip with your secretary....

Hahaha if that is indeed true, it sure was a long-winded way to ask a direct question.

Even so, what's the problem in using cab to bring secretary , mistress etc?   [gorgeous]

I stay at Bkt Batok and I always GrabTaxi or just do booking when heading overseas from Changi Airport.

Standard $32+/-. Go home also about same sometimes $28 even though distance is the same.

If park near airport, some drivers might not even want to pick you, 'cause they queued up for 1-2hrs during peak hours then only make <$15. Boh hua, they say.

I did it once cos i needed to send my wife back home to her house and then go back to my place after we returned (was after midnight, so got midnight surcharge).

Parked at my friend's house near flora drive there.

It's not very nice to the taxi uncle, but on the other hand, i didn't really want to pay like at least 70 bucks for a taxi ride cos the distance between our homes was considerable.

See...it's supposed to be an USUAL 1 day business trip to Penang. Due to unforeseen circumstances (shhhhhh......secretary going), the trip needs to extend 2-3 days so the wifey was told......secretary preferred her boss's' car to a cab....and I am not a thief

Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone knows is there any place that is near to Changi Airport?  Reason being i am travelling for only a few days and is really much more convenient for me to drive rather than to take cab.

I am thinking Pasir Ris Park or those private housing estate at Tampines or Changi area.

Not that i am trying to save money but i really need the vehicle when i returned.

Thanks.

Hi Bro,

I live in Simei. Yes, like some of our bro mention, you can park at the private estate opposite expo.

Then walk about 10 mins to MRT expo station and go to airport.

Think this is the best option for your parking issue.
