Steak must be cast iron skillet. Flat and super high heat. Most versatile.

Can do reverse sear in your oven also. Heat at low temp in your oven uncovered to like sous vide principle then high heat sear finish in your cast iron skillet.

Is it easy for skillet to become rusty after washing?  Coz I see a comment in the online shop that the skillet became rusty after one use/wash.

need to season and layer it yourself. marfan lah.

yes prone to rusting.  Hence must use with some regularity. Also recommended just to use boiling/hot water to wash quickly and just use a bristled brush to quickly scrub. Then need to reheat and reoil the surface.

To be frank, i got the skillet, but i no energy to do the prep work for this. Cos i only cook 1-2 times a week.
And i try not to eat steak at home.
Between visiting my parents + outside school activities for the kids really reduce my time significantly.

Get it if u eat steak often. Or u can just use an aluminium skillet like the professional kitchen do sometimes as well. Will suffice for our uses. Just don't use any non stick pan.

BTW for tefal think they have different grades for their wokpans. This red one is the cheaper one. I think from user reviews, it's lighter. Hence less heat retention. Even though the non stick material is same.

I bought the black one. Mine is 32cm but is a deeper wok compared to my older one which is flatter.
