Forte3737 5th Gear January 25, 2016 Share January 25, 2016 There are just too many a**hole in the world. Woud you jump in? Or will you stand there and watch? If not, its always easy to type out. On 1/25/2016 at 5:47 AM, Bavarian said: Regular canals in Singapore are usually not more than a few meters. Our definition of deep water probably differs. Every time any rescue is attempted there is a risk on the rescuer. It is the rescuer's prerogative to make assessment of the risk and take the appropriate action in the critical time period. Yes, rescuer's do lose their lives sometimes. No what ifs. They just die. Nonetheless, empathy will always send more into harm's way. That is the difference between a normal human and a**holes. ↡ Advertisement
Aventador 6th Gear January 25, 2016 Share January 25, 2016 In this situation, no need to f**k SCDF by the time they come it is too late already for submerged vehicle, if the passer by did not help, SCDF 5-10 mins later is just to retrieve the bodies And for passer by, 9pm at night , car submerged means see nuts in the water - normal aunty/uncle would not go in the water. I would like to think that i would have tried, but doors probably autolocked, and breaking glass under water? plus car was upside down, and you have 1-2 mins to do it... what can you say.........

Mockngbrd Supersonic January 25, 2016 Share January 25, 2016 Floor mounted accel should be quite hard to have anything stuck. My guess is step wrong pedal, panic and did not let go throttle all the way. Car tipped in upside down and impacted the cabrio roof, cabrio fabric roof structure/weather seals would sustain some damage from upside down impact and water will quickly rush in. Belts would have been tensioned tight and not much time for occupants to react and unbuckle belts. With the car upside down, orientation also f-ed up, occupants will also have to tahan until the water pressure equalise before opening the door, and that is also something few ppl know. A series of very unfortunate events.
Soho 4th Gear January 25, 2016 Share January 25, 2016 C&C gave free 3D floor mat. These floor mat are nice and thick. However, when used together with the original floor mat, it is too thick and and will stuck on top of the accelerator. it happen to me at least 2 to 3 times. I have to step on the brakes ( while the accelerator is still reving) and manually pull the mat down. I guess this might be what had happen. 2ndly, from 1 of the photos i saw, the side curtain airbag of the car is deployed. Most prob the ladies was knock unconscious or the side curtain airbag was blocking them from escaping. RIP to both of them

The canal is situated behind the mall. The spot where the car plunged into the canal located in the map is so far off. If the car lost control it should be around the bend on River Valley road towards Delta road before it plunged into the canal. Never been to this part of S'pore before. Dont even know this shopping mall exists.
