Xers007 Supercharged July 4, 2016 Share July 4, 2016 My guess is they were buckled but when the car falls into the water they unbuckle the seat belt trying to escape but did not managed to, while the electronic had shorted or battery went dead not registering the belt unbluckling when soak in water
Vratenza Supersonic July 5, 2016 Share July 5, 2016 Everyone should have a basic idea on how the car react when submerged. Whether we still have the mental clarity under panic mode is another issue altogether. Apparently, in USA, there was a woman and child skidded and their car went into a body of water. The woman remembered what she saw on this particular mythbuster episode, did not panic, unbuckled their seat belt, waited patiently for their cabin to fill with water (pressure equalized) before opening the door and swam out with the child. It saved their lives and they wrote in to the show to relate their experience and appreciation.
13177 Hypersonic July 5, 2016 Share July 5, 2016 I think most people would not remember anything or in a state of calm to react when car submerge into deep water, all will be in super panic mode. ↡ Advertisement
