Even forming a carpool service for ppl to cross over to JB, met with a regulatory "NO". I just don't get it.

Our garment been talking so much about providing smoother trafflic flow at Customs, go Green, save the environment and the craps.

And someone with carpool service is met with a NO. Isn't carpool going to reduce the number of cars and result in lesser cars in Customs, and also reducing pollution?

What is garment really concerned about? Money from custom toll?

$ must get permit

$ must pay tax

$ must pump sg petrol

$ must go thru 100 hours certification

$ must pay gst

$ must pay coe

a lot to worry hor

law by law

The greatest strength and weakness of SG is its puny size.

If everything (housing, cars, business opportunities) is left uncontrolled on this island, the original occupants with their hard work and entrepreneurship will certainly prosper, but they will also leave no ground for new migrants. Which spells certain disaster for the island when the original population ages just focusing on one aspect.

Being safe, leveling here and there, adjust here and there, ownself scare ownself, is one way to ensure that we continue to thrive grudgingly rather than trend happily to doom.

Under AVA control.

Basically, everything including intangible intellectual goods you import or export needs permit.

For cups and eating utensils, they fall under AVA control.

So, AVA needs to approve your import permit before Customs approve it.

Don't worry.

Govt doing their best to prevent deflation already. Carpark charge and electricity both going up.

Will trickle down to the masses soon.

It could be a structural decline.  Manufacturing moving to other low cost countries.

Every company will say electric and transport cost

will impact their prices that they will happily reluctantly

have to pass on the extra cost to the consumer.

Defaltion will be wiped out over night.
