Dilemma between the Jag XE, Merc CLA250SB & BMW 330i(F30)

Push it all the way and you will be shoved into your seat. The output isn't that far off from cars like the Evolution and WRX, after all. The torque, 345Nm, iirc.

The catch is the slight turbo lag versus newer gen turbo engines, it hits max torque at 2,300RPM rather than like 1,500RPM. And the fuel consumption too, but I gather that's not a concern for you.

Reliability wise, so far no problems, but it's not even hit the first servicing.

  :secret-laugh: niceeee!

Congrats Bro, I feel good for you too xiah got the car you want plus the new engine to boot.

Tell us what happened did you press the SE head to the desk or what hehe   ^_^

No no, I'm getting them to indent the R-Sports for me. Available current model is the prestige.

For the RSports, it comes with bodykit, sports suspension and some interior upgrades.

Really?? hahahah! Looking forward to that!

How is the reliability of the engine?

Basically, i think it was luck. It was pretty much a 2way street.

I want that particular model, there is a possibility in them selling that model in future.

Maybe they want to sell it as the upgraded or 'Sports' version?

And just right, I was happened to be there making enquiries and am a genuine buyer. Plus the fact they can send it for LTA's homologation.  A win-win, i guess, and the deal happened.

Personally I would go with jag as all rounder if TS has family siting in car often.comfort..looks more "luxurious" than other 2.

F30...Low seat..elderly hard to get in/out.

CLA SB rear no so spacious ..

Yea, i've heard stories also. If delay too long, will call lta and make noise. Nothing much can be done also.

Most important is to get the spec you like. If u can afford, don't settle for anything less.. I have learnt the hard way..

Yes, I agree. Furthermore you will be driving in it daily.

The volvo sports version that I sat in had a digital speedo as well. But the resolution was so clear that if you dont see carefully it looks like a normal needle.

AGree, S60 and S80 is about 160 plus which to me give very good value. Safe and new engine plus gear box. If you don't mind the look of it.

Thanks. I went for a test drive 3weeks back on the XE and 330i.

That was why I was stuck deciding between the xe and 330. Both rides were simply amazing! Exterior and interior design of the 330i (make is good) is really only so-so. XE's design is nice but make is kind of crappy. Power, 330. Handling, XE. That was the actual dilemma! Lol! Go with nice design, sacrifice the quality or Go with the Power or the Handling superior one??

Since you bought........well done.

But, I kinda agree with you as well after sitting in the XE yesterday for the first time. I've seen it around, a few times, and it looks great. The design, styling all look refreshing and the interior matches it 100%. The boot is a good size and shape, given its RWD layout.

My only concern was, as you said "make is kind of crappy" so I guess (not haven driven it) the handling more than makes up for that, which is probably what would push me over the edge as well, to be honest. I was a bit disappointed by the quality of some of the materials used and sound insulation even in the showroom kinda lacked.......though will be great for hearing your R-Sport.

I can see why you had a tough choice, but I can see why you chose what you did as well, you'll do well.

Congrats to your ride. Jag is a beautiful car.

Btw.....what is the estimated delivery time?

Is there a option to expediate delivery say to 1 month for a fee ?

Thank you.

The estimated collection is in May/June as the booked car needs to go through homologation by lta.

It might take 2weeks or longer, nobody knows.

Expected to reach our shores in either Apr/May.

Yes, the interior isn't exactly luxurious as what we are expecting of Jaguar, in terms of quality. Design-wise, I'm definitely bought over with its simplicity. Handling is good, steering is precise and ride comfort is adequate.

The final part that won my signature and made the decision was the availability of their 237hp model. That sealed the deal for me. It was no more a tough choice.

Although i'm still ironing out some spec issues with them, i'm sure things will turn out fine eventually [thumbsup]
