TS here reporting.

Just went for my 105k km servicing. It has been close to 5 years owning my B8 Highline.

However, yesterday was told need to replace my back brake disc/pad (worn out left 4mm). And also coolant tank dirty / coolant thermostat leaking - need to replace coolant thermostat housing.

Total damage above close to 2k.

Any advice?

I managed to pester my advisor and was quoted $400+, every 60,000km or 4 years. But i will do it at the last free servicing and never go back again. The reason they didn’t want to do it so they can charge you exorbitant price after the warranty is over when Gb damage.

Anyone on the normal audio and really wish to upgrade? I discovered a solution that drastically improve the sound quality without change of component. Almost plug and play.

Whole day unless u opt for friday express servicing which about 3-5 hrs

Nah i am driving superb and still at servicing 30k. Collecting car 3-4 working days later lol

Current Passat 7 dsg is dry clutch

Dry or Wet DSG,still won't be as lasting as a good Torque Convertor Gearbox like ZF.
