Twincharged

Seriously I don't know how BMW X5 and Honda Stream can be considered each other's competitor..

Because both can carry 7 people if I need to. I had some spare cash for the car and the minimum down payment required for the X5 was around there. But in the end I decided I don't want to take loan so go for the option that fits in my budget but still can carry 7 people.

Is the photo his car?

The Wish from the photo does not look like the 2006 model... it look more like the current model that was release in 2009...

You're right. If his Wish is 10 yo, then the photo cfm is not his car.

My Wish is 1 mth after his, and I'm likely to renew COE too…

was thinking of changing to a bigger MPV, but now no suitable model leh… and COE still high...

Guysj, I'm looking for a car for my wife. I've narrowed it down to Note (81k), Jazz (87k) and Mazda 2 sedan (86k). This is not a family car, just need a runabout.  Which should we go for?

Actually I'm looking at the Note DIGs version and Mz2 deluxe sedan. Given current prices I believe I can stretch a little [:)]

Jazz 1.3 is now 86,999 as notified by an SE. Not really interested in test drive vehicle, though wouldn't mind showroom one...

I'd go with mazda2 sedan

Mazda 3 basic model is selling at $89xxx now and if u wanted the 8"HU u can request it as free gift. So basic Mazda 3 with 8" HU

That should be the best deal, and I saw from the Mazda 3 thread, if choose red soul -$500

With Sun roof, made in Japan, more spacious, leather seat etc.

Nissan Note wins in interior space. Rear leg room is so spacious, you can sit with your legs crossed, even if Michael Jordan is in the drivers seat with the seat pushed all the way to the back. Downside is that it comes with a 3 cylinder engine.

Honda Jazz wins in engine engine refinement. Rear leg room is in between Nissan Note and Mazda 2.

Mazda 2 wins in the looks department and chic dashboard. Rear leg room is cramped.

Given a choice, I'd go for the Note, for 2 simple reasons - cheapest of the 3 choices, and also the most spacious.

Note is cheapest. But is it really?

Upfront price difference is abt 6k. But Jazz comes w 3 yrs servicing and higher scrap value. And higher COE rebate at 41k (vs 35k). So difference really not so much...
