She wing chun disciple too? Lol

As a wing chun expert, he should have dodge that slap automatically lol

This is because the movie doesnt emphasize much on computer effect. Unlike other movies, i prefer this as its more natural and touching storyline provide moral education on cherishing ur loved ones

Siam? Even worse!

I think tyson comes more as a guest rather than receiving fat paycheck

I am sure he got a big fat paycheck.

He is there to add global branding to the movie and help to market Ip Man to non Asian market, that is why Tyson cannot appear to lose the fight (I suspect he might not take the job if the script is written differently).

I like this one better than the first two.

It has a bit more emotions and moral value built in which gives it a good balance to the trilogy.  Ip man is a human too, has his sorrows as well as his heroic times. This show depicts that really well.

Fighting scene wise it is also not lacking. They throw in 3 solid "villians" for the show, so this should please those who just want good fighting scenes. I initially thought the only villain is Tyson, but no, they have another 2 nasty baddies as well with different style of fight in each of the baddies.

So overall, very good balance especially if you look at it from a trilogy point of view and not just from this one single movie.

Wa. Damn true sia.

The emotions make him so much more relate-able.

Got me interested enough to research on IP Man. (For about half a day)

Hiazzzz.

Real Ip Man.

I. am. Disappoint.

Still a great character in a damn good trilogy though.

Chinese No.1 and Angmor No.1 both cannot lose, so the plot is just to have a 3 min fight and ties at the end... no 1 win no 1 lose, all got face...

Where can I watch this movie in its original language, Cantonese? Don't want to watch a dubbed movie. Want to see/hear the actors use their own voices.

Anyway, what do you all think of this movie?

yup with more and more cross border artists in one movie, in order to market in mainland, these movies usually use mandarin speaking, those HK artist also have no choice but to use their broken mandarin in the filming.

My exact sentiment! Feel like watching it again. After reading a few reviews, I realised that I missed the significance of the butterfly. The most touching part to me is the part where his wife requested to have a family photo taken.
