Ahgong Supercharged December 18, 2015 Share December 18, 2015 when you are dealing with OPC, esp related to number plate, it is a pain, due to the security seal.was told to replace this during inspection. but to replace means i gotta spend $200 to get the seal broken at LTA, replace the plates then go back to LTA to reapply the seal. that is extremely expensive for plate replacement. are there cheaper alternative besides hand painting the numbers with white paint?i heard of stickers. but scared those will peel after awhile.and BTW, how much does those stickers cost?any idea?Any advise is welcomed. ↡ Advertisement

Count-Bracula Twincharged December 25, 2015 Share December 25, 2015 Do what is legal but OPC plate better be carerful . . . . any breakage in the seal and they take it as tampering.
Simplecar 4th Gear December 26, 2015 Share December 26, 2015 1. clean the plate with soap water. After dry, use alcohol or solvent to clean remanant oil. 2. mask everywhere (body and plate) except the numbers 3. Get a can of white spray paint and spray thinly. Repeat after the previous coat is dry. 4. For the red background, reverse the mask.

For the red background, reverse the mask. good idea but the red background - better not touch that colour as to get the exact colour is not easy and skali kenna by LTA or inspection centre for different colour again got problems; Looking at TS plate the red looks solid still, actually. Also another problem is that the Weekend car license plate is bolted fixed onto the frame and I think it cannot be opened up because I have seen on them a kind of locked bolt in my friends car .... though i dont know now how,...... so it might be a back breaking thing to do this painting or touch up with white corrector fluid
Xers007 Supercharged December 27, 2015 Share December 27, 2015 (edited) do whatever DIY ask LTA for black and white 1st, kanna stop just produce the it. frankly speaking paying 200 bucks for that seal is plain ridiculous.
