Be careful when buying 2nd hand car. This megane hatch diesel was advertised with 9000$ per year depre.

However, the CEVS rebate for this car was 15000$ and tt makes the ARF 5000$.

The 9000/yr depre was calculated with 20k ARF. Hence makes the price looks attractive.

All, please check carefully before you buy 2nd hand car.

Saw a few cars like that

My doctor asked me to watch my drinking. Now I sit in front of the mirror in the pub.

As for @Pioneer, I told you to leave this thread if you feel it is not worth your time. Now I have to enforce it.

now that u nentioned it, I'm a direct seller on 2 occasions. so far, managed to reach a reasonable price where both r happy. i oso kept my car in good condition, if not better than most direct sellers n dealers, some of whom just do grooming using greasy products that ended up looking insincere or last minute touchup.

Now selling my third one, again properly maintained w records from my ownership onward.

One of the buyer even became a fren, wc we still kept in touch after all these yrs. Whther seller or buyer, key issue is honesty, wc means also giving essential info even if other party doesn't bring up.

what car you selling and left how long

Let me add to the discussion. My experience of trying selling my car. Went around looking for new car. Average trade in value quoted $50K. Tried a quote service and sold to dealer @ $62K. Now dealer put up for sale @ $74K.

You can make conclusion about the good the bad and the ugly

but problem is when i offer direct seller 64k or 66k they say they want 72-74k...... and they decided that if they can't earn more they won't let others earn more too

i would deem it sgcarmart problem... their platform has no option for cevs rebate

Aren't ST Cars' ad searches are very similar to those in Sgcarmart?

Anyway I'm interested to know more, so I've sent ya a PM.

Don't wish to start a new thread so revive a year old...

Come across quite many small scale car dealers these days...Some examples here. Click on desktop mode to see their "fleets".

How do they survive? One or two cars a month?

MU is at least 10-20K per car. Mersaylee even more. Sell one unit per month can survive already on freelance basis. Ship broker also no such good life.

Then they must have gotten those cars at very low price. Who so dump to offload at those rates?

Also, I guess those small scale players offer no form of warranty...
