RadX Moderator December 2, 2015 Share December 2, 2015 Here you go. Let's start this thread for fellow UBERers here to share Discuss and discern the riders and drivers we have here. It's a good platform for our own kaki to discuss and help one another. This is more focused cf the other general thread. That said, we do not potong jalan and let UBER still earn the due funds as they have changed the landscape for ride sharing Thanks and let's keep this place civil as always Some advise the UBER kaki can share is: 1. Tips on starting up 2. Common pattern of riders 3. Route management 4. User experiences I'll add in RYDE and grabtaxi in due course ↡ Advertisement

Carnoob Supercharged December 2, 2015 Share December 2, 2015 (edited) Let me start with difference between Uber and Grabcar (from driver's point): - ai) Uber calculate fare based on estimation and may differ after passenger reach destination. aii) Grabcar fare is fixed upon accepting except 3 additions (toll fee, extra drop off, extra waiting time) if applicable. bi) Uber does not display destination of passenger. bii) Grabcar shows the destination of passenger. ci) Uber ONLY accepts cashless transaction. cii) Grabcar's passenger can pay by cash. di) Uber driver app can run only Iphone or Android phone dii) Grabcar driver app ONLY on Android phone And finally their incentives for drivers are totally different. Carnoob Supercharged December 2, 2015 Share December 2, 2015 (edited) Next I shall share difference in registration for Uber / Grabcar drivers (both companies will require the standard documents) ai) Uber just need to take queue no., register with standard documents aii) Grabcar take queue no., register with standard documents and Customer Service will go through an activation checklist Checklist includes but not limited to: 1. Check IMEI no. on your android handphone 2. Check on the car used to do Grabcar, make sure it is clean 3. Must attend their workshop on use of Grabcar and their code of conduct bi) Uber activates driver account on the same day bii) Grabcar activates driver account after 2 to 3 working days Edited December 2, 2015 by Carnoob

Meanmachine Supercharged December 2, 2015 Share December 2, 2015 Honestly, it will be good to own a diesel car to be an Uber or Graber Taxi driver, otherwise the benefits will be gone. Rather than the basis any taxi can offer, Uber and Grab taxi must offer more than the latter.

Carnoob Supercharged December 2, 2015 Share December 2, 2015 (edited) I think it would be good to be clearer, there are different types of services that Uber / Grabcar have: - Uber: Ubertaxi - Standard taxi UberX - private chauffeur with normal car UberXL - private chauffeur with MPV UberExec - private chauffeur with luxury car UberExec Large - private chauffeur with mini van Grabtaxi: Grabtaxi - Standard taxi Grabcar - private chauffeur with normal car GrabHitch - Car pooling Grabcar+ - private chauffeur with luxury car Grabcar (6-seater) - private chauffeur with MPV Grabcar (13-seater) - private chauffeur with mini van So it depends on which one to choose and you will have different benefits and incentives.
