GravityBlue 4th Gear February 7, 2018 Share February 7, 2018 Hi guys. Another noon question from me. I observed that my parking is almost always off straight when using the reverse parking cam guiding lines. Hahaha. I don't think I a lousy "Parker" la. I used this feature deliberately to check alignment. Could it be by any remote chance that this thingy is messed up and needs some sort of "realignment"? Hi bro , do u tends to parked tilted to the right ? I have same issue , every time after alight from car and check , car always slanted towards right side. So now i always park slightly tilt to left , to compensate it. I think its a matter of getting use to it. Its easy to check parking guidelines (on screen), simply compare the clearance on both side, if its not aligned use hand / a plier to adjust the camera direction. ↡ Advertisement
shawncjh 3rd Gear February 7, 2018 Share February 7, 2018 But the Cerato and Forte name is also used elsewhere like Korea or US and even Europe has different line altogether... they use C'eed... You're right, Cerato is only used in the Southeast Asian market and C'eed for the Europeans while the rest of the world know it as the Forte. Not sure why, but that's just how it is. To ease the confusion, you could just say K3 lol.

shawncjh 3rd Gear February 7, 2018 Share February 7, 2018 Then who is using k3 le? The koreans branded the current one you're driving today as the Kia K3. Hence, most markets in general would know what you're talking about. Only in Singapore it's known as Kia Cerato Forte in full. Very confusing stuff. Ya but the new 2019 Forte will be also called C'eed over there from what I heard. The guy in the video talks about it at the start. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JucTLYIHW5I Edited February 7, 2018 by shawncjh

Hi bro , when inside car doing reverse parking , always park slant to the other side (from ur line of sight). So it will compensate back to "straight". My previous car i have no problem parking straight. Only for K3 , will always tends to slant to right side.

My previous ride avante no reverse parking cam, so to align properly during parking I bought small round 'blind spot' mirrors and stick to each side mirror but oriented in such a way I can see my wheels with respect to the lines on the parking lot. I also do this on my K3 now. Able to park more accurately with extra help using reverse cam. Useful when navigating tight spaces to prevent rims kissing the kerb.
Vinceng Turbocharged February 8, 2018 Share February 8, 2018 I saw before at a carpark, the car at the rear was pasted with Cerator Forte k3! The current model Kia K3, launched in 2015 has had many names It began with Kia Forte K3, then it became Kia Cerato Forte K3, and lately in 2017, was again renamed Kia Cerato K3. There comes the issue with insurance. If you list/declare your K3 model wrongly to the insurer, your insurance is void!

Brass 6th Gear February 8, 2018 Share February 8, 2018 (edited) Can share your thought n feeling between the two ?Even though I am not him, the K3 is more comfortable than the sister car.Old is gold,in this case. The other car feels cheapened out. Although prefer the other car for a less rushed mid range band. I only compare the most basic models due to budget. both have similar specs (I didn't go to the smallest details like brakes etc) and space. Elantra was slightly more expensive after all rebates (trade in plus loan etc) compared to k3. I felt more comfortable with Kia and thought the looks is also more rugged. Did you have a look at Mazda 2?Even though it's not as big, but you will feel slightly more premium in it,no? Looks better... subjective..
