EWander 6th Gear June 17, 2016 Share June 17, 2016 It does make a difference. Sometimes when I want to turn, I switch on the wiper instead. My old car is on the right but new ride is left.....but when I drive my missus car its on the right again... so when she ask me y u filter then signal? Cos I swipe wiper I/o signal ....she say maybe some old man like me always filter then signal ...may be becos of this ↡ Advertisement
teomingern 6th Gear June 17, 2016 Share June 17, 2016 These things can vary even between different generations of the same mode. Eg, 2009 Cerato Forte had signal lever on right. New Carens, K3 and K5 have it on left. And if it's true that the Impreza you tested had it on the left, then it varies between different Subaru models of the current generation too. Because my 2016 Legacy has signal lever on the right, where I happen to like it. The crazy thing is that the Impreza has the signal stalk on the left but the Legacy has it on the right. When I bought my Impreza back then, I remember asking the SE but she also don't know... cos newbie.... A bit schizo if you ask me.... interesting that this is still the case... IMO, does it really matter if signal lever is on the left or right? There is no right or wrong. After a while, one will get use to it. I don't know... you've got to ask him... he's quite angsty it seems... doesn't matter to me but I like a bit of consistency between cars I drive... anyway now between my dad's Renault Fluence, sister's VW Sportsvan and My Hyundai Sonata, all signal stalks on the left... easy to remember lar... My old car is on the right but new ride is left.....but when I drive my missus car its on the right again... so when she ask me y u filter then signal? Cos I swipe wiper I/o signal ....she say maybe some old man like me always filter then signal ...may be becos of this I can empathize... last time I also like that... ha ha ha... I love one handed driving So right signal for me Used to do that too with my old Elantra... 2001 model... ha ha... but now cannot...I always thought signal stalk on the right was a lot more sensible.

Ya that maybe an issue but C&C tactics maybe to earn alittle less and place more on the roads.COE cat depends as there are times cat B cheaper than CAT A. This is like a plus that competition will find hard to fight. Also the current steering design sucks. So dated. I was thinking that Ford's 1.0 L EcoBoost is a good idea. Turbo, with high torque and low fuel consumption. Will meet the Cat A power limit.

Potatoes 1st Gear June 21, 2016 Share June 21, 2016 (edited) I feel K3 sales will likely to drop drastically against the likes of Hyundai Elantra and the incoming Honda Civic. Edited June 21, 2016 by Potatoes
Bieffe 2nd Gear June 21, 2016 Share June 21, 2016 I feel K3 sales will likely to drop drastically against the likes of Hyundai Elantra and the incoming Honda Civic. Will drop but not drastic. The Civic will be in a different price bracket. The Elantra has always been around. It having too much curves is it's down side. I've not dug into the Elantra VS K3 specs in details. Unless there is a brand new Elantra coming? Another too curvy update?

teomingern 6th Gear June 22, 2016 Share June 22, 2016 Oh? They didn't bring in the turbo 1.5 engine? Still using the old 1.6 L engine??? Ha... they're going to disappoint many people... but I guess it's still the 1.6 L that will sell...
Thecarboy302 3rd Gear June 22, 2016 Share June 22, 2016 Oh? They didn't bring in the turbo 1.5 engine? Still using the old 1.6 L engine??? Ha... they're going to disappoint many people... but I guess it's still the 1.6 L that will sell... They are bringing in the 1.5T just around 1-2 months after the 1.6 launch in around August, quite a few people in this forum have already booked their Civics. The 1.6 engine is a carry over from previous 2 generations.
teomingern 6th Gear June 22, 2016 Share June 22, 2016 (edited) Oh I see... interesting to see how the 1.5 L turbo will sell once it's in Cat B... the Cruze simply couldn't sell... for different reasons... for Civic, it will be the pricing that will be crucial... I think the Korean makes will still be highly competitive. Price-wise and specs-wise, nothing comes close. Edited June 22, 2016 by teomingern

ricleosg 4th Gear June 22, 2016 Author Share June 22, 2016 (edited) and yours. just share any facts or information you have that states the side you prefer the indicators switch to be is the "correct" sight, and the other is wrong? everyone here is just saying either side is ok, you are the only one saying right hand side is correct, and left hand side is wrong. there is no right or wrong. just a different design/choice. I understand the new Civic also has 2 versions - the 1.6 and the 1.5turbo. The less expensive one being the 1.6 ↡ Advertisement
