Fuelsaver Supercharged November 26, 2015 Share November 26, 2015 Assuming proper maintenance is done. I unsure if 4 / 5 / 6 speed n 8 / 9 speed belong to same cat, thus the separate cat. Some articles here - http://articles.latimes.com/2014/feb/12/business/la-fi-autos-reliability-20140213 http://www.aa1car.com/library/what_goes_wrong_with_cars.htm http://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/advice/which-sort-of-auto-gearbox-is-best-/ Also appreciate contributions from fellow experienced bro / sis. Nowadays rides getting pricey, thus I hope with the introduction of such a thread & constructive inputs, all car-owners / would-be owners can benefit / make informed decision. Kindness n objectivity r greatly appreciated. Do not treat mentioning of particular brand / make as bashing. ↡ Advertisement

Watwheels Supersonic November 26, 2015 Share November 26, 2015 With today's technology it's down to driving patterns and drivers' input. To me hardware alone cannot say for sure, the gearbox software plays a part too. As for dual clutch gearboxes they are still in its infancy in automobiles although they have a history on boats. It still needs fine tuning for its hardware and software.
