Went for a test drive Mobillio this afternoon.

Interior indeed so so. 6 adults power OK but engine a bit noisy when you rev up. Otherwise it is a very decent car at $104k. In fact the 3rd row is better than my stream.

Seems like the new Honda engine noisy is a common complain.

Seat Alhambra

Yes, it is a re-badge VW Sharan, but with slightly sportier outlook. Other technical spec are same as the facelift Sharan. Will be a good buy if the 2.0TSI is priced at $150K (see how VW move the new Touran at $140K...)

Tks bro for your usual scoops!

Agreed, Priced correctly n this can surely sell! U can consider cos this one spacious for sure n though not Vellfire nor Elgrand kind of size, I believe it will give a much better drive than the 2 Japs!

Yes will give due consideration to the Alhambra. I have sort of narrowed down to Sharan, Odyssey and a few others (Sharan being my preferred choice till now for a good balance of space, power and features, but NOT in the pricing and service quality).

So this one come timely. Hopefully the local AD will bring in the top spec version (2.0TSI with 20th Anniversary trim) and if pricing is right, I will bite.

Have a great weekend bro Spring.  [flowerface]  [flowerface]

Supersonic

Wish 2.0, came with 4AT. Was thirsty like the camry 2.0 back then. Then w wish 1.8, though less power, the wider ratio of the cvt compensated. The nett effect was that same rd tax, petrol but similar move around feel. Hence BM stopped 2.0.

To b fair, Mob is essentially a 6 seater looking at the width. However it moves the peeps w adequate power , space n cold air.

No Seat AD in Singapore

Are you based overseas?

There is already a seat Alhambra based on the current sharan. No surprise that they also facelift it with the new facelifted sharan

Edit: just saw the announcement on vertex AD for seat. Yes looks promising. Basically the same car except badge

Agree,

Front look different/with new vertical LED at both ends of front bumper

Rims - exactly similar with latest estima aeras, and the side skirt, side mirror all look the same.

confirm not new model as Toyota likely to use latest 2.5L as in camry/alphard/VF, not the old but trusty 2.4

You should have plenty of choices right?

Depends on your budget, some of the Japs like Mobilio, Ody, Jade, Wish have different advantages and disadvantages and can easily last you 20 years. Have to give and take abit as don't think there will be 1 MPV which has everything you looking for, happy hunting!!
