has anyone tried the new VW caddy maxi ?

Sorry but it just look and feel too van like for me. Build quality and choice of material is good though.

One thing to note, the seats are fixed and so are the leg space. Although the Maxi is longer than Sharan, but space in 3rd row is limited, more like in a Touran.

Did not test drive, but the interior space & leg room is comparable (a little more spacious) to the Toyota Sienta. Superb head room as the roof is high.

Odessey to Alphard?

Yes, see how low ie how "cramp" the odyssey is..

and yes, handling is car like for ody, Genting corner no issue.

but have difficulty carrying luggage when going up north

Last straw is when has difficulty carrying my mom's wheelchair.

-> Alphard solve it all.

Look is not important to me.

I think is a nice car, with the space given.

In additions to that it is a Cat A  MPV( 1.4 TSI, 7 DSG, horsepower 122- 125 and torque 220) with a lot of luggage and storage space.

The negative point is that the seats are fixed. But 2nd and 3 rd row can be removed totally. A lot of review from Taiwan.

hmm ..probably ...maybe can push out  method ...15 deg  opening .. just like Mercedes Citan

look at photo 11 on the side windows ... but warranty wise from VW could be tricky to deal with
