Shando 1st Gear November 7, 2015 Share November 7, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOoIuBu5xO4 Spray bottle seems to work great. It would take a lot more "water" than a spray bottle to steam clean the 4 cylinder head. I have tried it with 200-300ml of water before and the effect is something like a bottle of injector cleaner, nothing fantastic really. If you really want to do it then i think at least 500ml or more of constant water drip/spray might do the trick. Maybe you can attached a long hose to this , attached it to the throttle body inlet with masking tape. And pull it into the passenger compartment. Get someone to pressurized it and spray it while you drive, laggi better.
Kb27 Supersonic November 7, 2015 Share November 7, 2015 (edited) It is safe as long as you control the amount of water going in. I'd used a spray bottle and about 3L of distill water. After that you will find your engine quite smooth and noticeably quieter. Water is safe from a chemical point of view. It's oxygen and hydrogen. It doesn't leave deposit behind, but make sure to use distill water and not tap water. The proof is that when an engine is overhauled with a leaking head gasket, that cylinder will appear unusually clean. It's bcuz the cooling system used water and it's cleaning that cylinder inadvertently. Edited November 7, 2015 by Kb27

Maybe new carbon would have been accumulated then... Lol ↡ Advertisement
