I won't say never take non-guaranteed. Depends on timing. When you shop around, can sound out the SE, if they sound confident about getting COE, then you should get it. Also need to see the margin between the car's cost and the price. If it's big enough you'll get the COE even if not guaranteed cos they have margin to bid higher.

I suggest you wait out a bit... let the COE settle to some stable value. Once Wearnes is confident about where the next bidding round will go, they will offer you top up with guaranteed condition cos by then they know their margins and how much they can stretch and still make a good profit. Then you can talk to your SE again to negotiate some top up. You confirm cannot get the car at the price you signed anymore... got to be prepared to top up quite a bit. Although the COE jump $6000, the margin they need to factor in any increases will likely see your top up rise to $8000-9000 for guaranteed status. In period of increasing coe prices...NG is risky. But there are also cases which G is not guaranteed. Like no of bids may not be consecutive etc. In any case hope for the best for you bro. Hopefully there is ready stock and you can quickly register for the car once u get the coe. Edited June 22, 2016 by Andyngps

Agreed bro.. Just feel unfair as this is only a single player games. AD/PI will maximise their profits regardless of what deal had been made. They will only prioritise those with higher margin 1.. See some bro posted even guaranteed 4bids also cannot get their car.. This is my first time buying new car, really feel disappointment. Although they can always Say "I give full refund" but the time wasted who bear?

So far no problems, has been driving one for 4 mths with 6,000+ mileage (including 1,000 km done during recent trip to KL).

 

Avg fuel consumption is 20km per litre

Bro the car have to send to them if u trade in? How they gonna give back the parf? After u get back deposit?

I check with SE, the PARF will be paid back together with the deposit 2 weeks after the last bids..

Be aware, if the deal is not successful, they will only pay back the PARF amount instead of the trade in price they offered. I was told when I drive my car to them.. A bit buey song, deal is a deal ma.. They offered trade in my car at 9k, but if after 6 bids cannot secure Coe and I decided to close the deal, they only pay the PARF at 8.5k...

I agree. That is why some like to trade in instead of selling the car themselves. At least there is a buffer but in your case its different since you prob did not trade in. Anyway got one more month to go bro. Best bet is if they have ready stock for ypu then you have another two bids to go and at least the time lapse to getting your car is faster, since registering of car plus other ad hoc fix up usually is like 1-2 weeks nia. Having said that, got a friend of mine who paid more for a car without coe, thinking he can save a bit trying to bid his own and he thought coe will drop and he tried bidding himself. Unfortuantely coe is currently on rising trend and he lppl. Hard to predict bro. Edited June 25, 2016 by Andyngps

You might want to try other brand with. As i consider on opel Sports tourer or renault Fluence. The week go promotion at kallang wave mall to see there promotion and decide .
