Axela72, other than maintainance, you can rent and drive all three, then you can decide better. Probably like rent a few days. A short test drive avtually means nothing much.

Greeting,

After 3 mth of car searching, below is the pro and con of the 3 cars I have shortlisted which all can get at ~$114k same price range. Handling comparison for these 3 car is not part of my consideration among them as all are in acceptable level to me. fyi, I only need to drive ~ 1k km/month. My criteria are based on total cost to maintain, look, spacious, equipment level and performance.

1.2L Qashqai (OMV 19k):

Remark: The only wow factor if I get this car is because of my dream colour

2L Forester (OMV 14k):

Remark: The only wow factor if I get this car is if I upgrade to XT with additional ~$10k

Like the spacious but dislike the cost to maintain

1.6L C4 Picasso (OMV 22k)

Remark: This car will be my 1st choice if minus away the reliability (which is one of my most important criteria) concerns. The worst reliability might resultant to highest maintain cost than the Forester

May I have your advise which car should I choose and why?

Thanks

if your wow factor for FXT is not its performance, AWD, and Safety rating, forget about it, because its dated interior, poor FC, high insurance and maintenance all are not your cup of tea,

for me I am pleasure for FXT FC 10km/L @50:50 City/Expressway, its medium in this class SUV,

IMO, Vezel is suitable for your option, believe Honda never let your disappoint in term of reliability, FC, engine refinery, performance in NA class,

Yes. Was quote 1.8k for the non torbo. C4 is 1.2k while QQ 800. Another 6 to 10k extra for 10 year cycle for Forester.

Btw, C4 give another $300 discount for another 1st 3 years which i havent add on.

Forester insurance a lot higher meh?

I thought only subaru their wrz and Impreza more siong.

He likes FXT because it comes with harman speakers. He likes QQ because it comes with his dream colour.  [smash]

Then better buy QQ. Save 10k at least.

Wondering If i choose either Forester or QQ, i might need to wait till Suburu new FL which improve the FC or QQ addressed the loss of power matter.

don't expect Forester can improve FC in FL, AWD cannot overcome FC issue,

and Subaru never put effort  to improve FC instead of performance, :D

I rate Vezel as and equivalent of QQ other than safety issue from QQ.

There are 2 school of thought. Some prefer Vezel against QQ via versa. To me, Exterior Vezel win while interior (+equipment level) QQ win

This is ridiculous! From the start the Forester shouldn't even be in your shortlist unless you are using it as an excuse for choose the other 2 over it AKA punching bag.

QQ to you is more of a mixed bag.

I can see you love C4 but need more assurance. Heck why are you still contemplating if they willing to cover the car for 5years?

Just go for it. Don t over analyze like what you did back in the Forester and QQ thread else by the time your car scrap you haven't even decide.

I have read the thread and fellow forumer posting their opinion and it will get no where in my opinion.

In fact, I had tested the C4P and GC4P an hour ago. C4P has much pull when driving hard than GC4P but I like GC4P more for its additional features and a bigger car even if it is more expensive. Also, I have tested all the cars mentioned here except Vezel.

What car do I like? FXT, GC4P... I cannot make up my mind for now. 5008 was added back to the table for evaluation.

One forumer rightly pointed out which I have in mind. Cars are come with 5yr or 100k km warranty. If you do 1k km per month, your car is safe for 5 years at least. So why bother too much about reliability in short to mid term? What defines high maintenance?

Are you looking at SUV since your choices are SUV type? Why not wagon such as 308SW?

50% NCD  $1300+ with 1st year insurance with MI.

2nd year onward go search around should be much lower.
