HHHuat 1st Gear February 25, 2016 Share February 25, 2016 price is attractive. the only thing that bothers me is the height... too tall for some carparks. Out of the thousands , about 30+ car park in Singapore cannot park. Just need to do some check before going to those older shopping mart or car park. ↡ Advertisement
kmttan 4th Gear February 25, 2016 Share February 25, 2016 Before install of back door auto closure After install Source: http://minkara.carview.co.jp/en/userid/1472142/car/1078907/2363145/note.aspx Nice information. Other than the device is costly, the installation looks simpler than the steering wheel HU control. Just need to secure it in the correct position and run a power to it. Question is where to get the parts.
primera38 1st Gear February 26, 2016 Share February 26, 2016 Nice information. Other than the device is costly, the installation looks simpler than the steering wheel HU control. Just need to secure it in the correct position and run a power to it. Question is where to get the parts. If you look at the link, it is not as simple and wires need to be reworked. This is for C25 and there may be some difference from C26. Parts can be purchased through Tan Chong, stockists or online. However, I do not recommend DIY. If Tan Chong can do it for 1k, I think it is still worth it.

Just need to do some check before going to those older shopping mart or car park. I agree that it is actually not a concern and just need to be aware. All the car park I have been to, can clear the height of a Hiace van. Serena should not have any problem at all. It seems that OMV for Serena Highway Star increases on Jan 2016. But SE told me TC cannot install for us :-(
Wong_Y Neutral Newbie February 27, 2016 Share February 27, 2016 Bro ... nothing is recession proof apart from mortality rates even birth rates and taxes are recession averse! Bro... Sure..I will agree with you if you are referring to Absolute. But I am referring to current context - of a economy closing to a 'technical recession' . You may want to refer to ST article on 16 Feb on consumer retail sales result in December 2015... December was supposed to be a very good month for retailers but that was not the case. On the other hand... Look at new car sales in last December, the numbers can tell Singaporeans desire to own a car even with uncertain economy outlook. Cycfari 1st Gear March 5, 2016 Share March 5, 2016 Just booked Tiger Brown color today and hope to have my ride ready this mth. Test drove it and I am actually disappointed with its power. But then i am getting it more for its spaciousness. Saw a brother collecting his pearl white SKS xxxx
Wkkiat73 Clutched March 5, 2016 Share March 5, 2016 Congrats on your new ride. Power is never a consideration if you are going for Serena but more of comfort and practicality. My radio reception is quite bad as compared with my old ride, any bros having the same issue and anyway to overcome this? Just saw my first Serena on Singapore roads, silver SKZ traveling near LOT 1, belong to any bro here?
carrot81 1st Gear March 6, 2016 Share March 6, 2016 Just booked Tiger Brown color today and hope to have my ride ready this mth. Test drove it and I am actually disappointed with its power. But then i am getting it more for its spaciousness. Saw a brother collecting his pearl white SKS xxxx ð My first choice was Voxy or Esquire, but i prefer Tan Chong technical backup. Also my SA managed to waive the 1.5k penalty. Costs wise, Serena is much mkre value for money. Stepwagon got dropped from my shopping list due to the 3rd row seats storage design. I am also concerned that there is no bumper for the rear. It won't be easy to repair the Waku Waku door and get replacement stock. I like the Stepwagon dash and power though. Is Voxy/Esquire more powerful than Serena? I thought all the same, about 140 bhp / 200 Nm or so? Should be similar specs for Stepwagon as well, albeit from a TC 1.5L. Weight for all should also be almost the same for all. Saying that, my first choice was Voxy/Esquire as well for the looks. What clinched the deal for Serena for me in the end was the flexible seating arrangement, and the lower price for Comfort Trim. Congrats on your new ride. Cycfari 1st Gear March 7, 2016 Share March 7, 2016 To be fair, I did not try the Voxy or Stepwgn. I guessed boxy car power behave in such manner. Anyway this will be my partner for the next 10 years, haha. Btw, anybody changed the HU to others? I thinking of changing to Pioneer and adding an Amp + Subwoofer. Most likely will need to cross over to JB to look for accessories.

carrot81 1st Gear March 31, 2016 Share March 31, 2016 (edited) May I know after top up full tank, what is the range for Serena? And if we are to top up fuel when the refuel lights up, roughly how many liters can we top up till full tank? My range usually displays 880km upon topup, but will go down slowly as I drive. Think the actually max range is about 750km thereabouts. I usually refill at 3/4 tank for about 45L (with mileage of about 560km), which is about right as full tank is supposed to be 60L (according to sgcarmart). kmttan 4th Gear March 31, 2016 Share March 31, 2016 New Nissan Serena coming? Quite close to renderings / CGI posted on some Japanese website: The general shapes and looks are similar except it has more lines and the front part is more sporty. I like the rear light panel that does not go all the way up.
