samfreak 3rd Gear November 3, 2015 Share November 3, 2015 I don't recommend these 'pre-puncture' stuff. Why? If you're going to have a puncture, its best you KNOW you have a puncture so you can deal with it sooner rather than later. With these stuff, you WON'T KNOW you have a puncture (maybe just a realisation you need to pump more frequently). Meanwhile, you drive around happily and at speed perhaps. The damage may get worse (perhaps to the point the puncture is no longer repairable). In an extreme case, you may end up with a tyre blowout. Remember, using such products does not mean you won't have a puncture. Just that, you're not likely to know you have a puncture. Carry a spare. Or better still, use tyre inflators. You use these only when you KNOW you have a puncture and it will get you safely to a tyre repair facility.

Tonyking 2nd Gear November 3, 2015 Share November 3, 2015 tyre lifetime warranty against puncture? Hi I have called Donovan. He said that there is no need to patch, just pull out the object and continue to drive in order to let the sealant to seal the hole. the warranty is until you change to the next set of tyres. One thing I have learnt is that those foot operated air pump is actually powerful enough to inflate the car tyres. We can do it in some shady area, then pump in enough air to drive the car to the nearest petrol station to pump to correct pressure. what about sidewall puncture? does the warranty cover that as well? Never compromise when sidewall punctures happen. Must change to new tyres asap.

To me, life iis a learning process, never too old to learn new tricks. But of course we can always choose the no sweat method to let others earn. To date, I have never pay to let other people wash my ride before. Intend to keep it that way though it is affordable. My apologies for the side-track. Let us get back to Serena. A colleague of mine is seriously considering to get this ride soon, with my inputs. Very happy for him. Don't think any product will warranty side wall. as for what does the warranty covers, it will be good to call them to ask. for the 4 tyres to have even coating, it is strictly for you to drive 50km/h for the first 5km to even out the coating. Promise to be the last one. I have found another video on Puncture Proof sealant which is a lengthy version of that listed on local dealer. It showed the process of applying the sealant which is really easy. The process is exactly same as using slime. I will definitely post my review in MCF if I am to go for it in the end. For the rest who will be collecting your car soon and like me not a DIY guy and needs some form of warranty, this is the product I have installed. For those who have asked me the paint protection system that I did, the product is called Tribos. you can actually go online to google it. you can also google Tribos Hong Kong to see more reviews. Saw this product when surfing the HK Serena forum and chance upon this. Saw that it has been brought in to Singapore and decided to try it out. It covers more than paint protect though. Here's what it covers:

RMB 88 RMB 268 RMB188 RMB270 RMB 180 Taobao is definitely cheaper than even Malaysia. I saw it before I ordered from Malaysia. But just be mindful that the quality might be different. But do let us know if you have purchased and give us feedback pls. I have bought the original gear LED lights and will be installing it later this month as really very busy with work. Scuff plate and this most installer that does lightning and audio should be able to do it. Just take note scuff plate will cover the chassis number on the driver side and it might by slippery and rust as well. I am looking at carpet like material for that. There is some that I saw on Japan website. Now deciding which one to get.

Another concern is that the item send by them may not fit the car well, sometime their description is for this model, but they send another item. you are right on the scuff plate, I did not consider the slippery part, just thot that the lighting is good for my folks to see it even at night. Now come to think of it, with those LED light, I am sure anyone can see the steps at night. ↡ Advertisement
