Hi, my 3-year-old Serene's head unit just died. Got any lobang to replace one? I find the one (pioneer brand) in Autobacs too expensive. They quoted me like $600(HU) + $400 (GPS) + $200(Installation) expensive.

Hi kmttan, mine also died after 2.5 years. Think the HU not very good quality. I got my replacement from Dats Auto in kaki Bukit, above Foon Audio. IIRC, I paid around $450 all in for a basic Pioneer HU (no GPS, no BT).

Just to clarify, I have no relations with Dats Auto. Just found out about them when I went to Foon Audio to look for a replacement unit and went shopping around to look for a better quote :)

I wonder if there any English manuals available to download?

 

I struggle to understand Google Translate take on Japanese manual....... 

Can anyonew help please on the following:

 

Specifically, do you set the sensitivity of collision warning system?

Is Auto idling option on all time or when is comes on? it seeems it works intemittently...

Is S-Hybrid light to come on when you take foot off pedal? it seems to work intermittently...

I have these coffee cups display, supposedly to warn off tiredness; do you set this at all?

The anti collision system can't be adjusted or disabled. Mine actually did 2 E brake by itself when I was driving slowly, i filed a complaint to the agent & requested them to remove the function but was told its not possible.

 

Your S-Hybrid is working correctly. Not sure whats the coffee cups display. Can u post the picture?

I am using Amaron 42B20L (secondary batt) & BH100D26L (Main batt). Both nusing for a year now. My stock failed in 18 months.

A bit ex. At that price ,U can get the top range Pioneer or Kenwood with Android Auto / Carplay . Forget about in-built GPS, Google / Waze maps are more updated .

 

Checkout Sim Lim tower prices, they are more competitive. Installation wise, its quite straight forward or u can engage the installer at SL tower or best still, do it at JB :)

Hi,

 

the "coffee cups" option seems to be related to Cruise, and warns of fatigue. and its alarm can be set to however long you need.Image attached.

 

 

Good news on hybrid functioning,

Nissan UK are  technologically decade behind of Japan, Malaysia, etc.

 

They dont even sell here in Europe large cars anymore, nor MPVs, apart Hyundai i800, and Merc Vito.

Nissan NV200 as passenger variant is a stretch.

Even Toyota does their version of Peugeot/Citroen van, as a MPV, but its a van with seats.

Nice but Serena got more Grace..
