Hey did u managed to resolve the issue? My IU has been intermittenly down so much so that its not even detected when going past the ERPs.

 

Now at VIACOM to have it fixed. Expecting LTA to send me the letter though.

 

Not yet. Will be going for servicing next week. Is it the IU or the wiring fault?

Finally, got my car today. Very good and comfort drive.

 

I think mine came with autolock. The door will lock when I first step on the brake. It will unlock when I off the engine. Would prefer it to unlock when get gear is at P position. But nevertheless better than no autolock.

 

Also realised that the info display cannot change to English. A bit Sian on that.

 

Generally, my family likes and enjoys the car.

Driving 70% expressway, Using Start-stop and Eco mode.  Only this tank has less passenger and longer distance driving on expressways.  

 

Also, no road hogging....

I had to go back to Viacom a few times.

Essentially the problem was with the 'contacts' to the power distribution that the IU is connected to. After my 2nd last visit which I was told the issue should have been fixed, the IU was not detected again when I was going past the Clementi ERP. Made a u turn back to Viacom and without stopping, asked the technician to check with his hand held tool to see if the IU was responding. He direct me to his senior (an old uncle) at Viacom at Bukit Batok who has this tool which check the power and he was able to identify that the original connection was weak and he re terminated to another point closer to the door. So far so good. Still waiting from LTA's letter though :-(

Yes you can reset the Average Fuel Consumption and Average Speed but holding the button with the "Dot".  I performed the reset every time after I refuel.

 

This is a different button from the trip counter.

First tyre puncture and was advised by regular tyre shop to use the pump without sealant to inflate the tyre. The pump was surprisingly quick to inflate the flat tyre. The inflated tyre was able to last the drive to tyre shop and was still hard.

 

This is my experience to share without using the sealant and the mess with sealant while patching the tyre.

I've finally gotten my car back 2 days ago, after a good 34 days of wait since I last deposited the car at Tan Chong Bukit Timah on 30 June.

 

The long wait is largely due to awaiting of spares that are required to be freight in.

 

Now vehicle is restored to original look, total damage $6.6k+.

Glad to hear your beloved ride is back to good shape without hassle. Just curious were you able to claim for replacement car during the wait as it is quite long?

 

Serena has always been my favourite MPV, even more so with the new release in late August.

Does anyone know whether T8 is selling the 2017 Serena? Saw the videos on YouTube and internal space looks good and I like the 2 tier opening for the back door.
