I need to go Hougang Green every weekend. The height stated was 1.8m but I saw a few 2m van and lorry parked there. So, I measured the height barrier and it was actually 2.1m. Otherwise, we would have gotten Wish or Orlando.

You really went to measure it yourself? Salut!I also need to go Hougang Green occasionally. Will observe it when I next go there.

bro, i also did a research online of the various low carpark. the list is quite long and it include some comments from the different writer. I also have include other place that are 1.9m or 2.0m. at least when going to certain carpark you no need to always check on line. just refer to the list and see if it is 1.8m, 1.9m or 2.0m.

anyone wanna the full list just drop me a msg with you email, I will send the excel spreadsheet to you. the list is 8 page long with 150+ car park. not very possible to post it.

I recently booked a Serena as well and was concerned about the carpark height restrictions. Thanks to HHHuat for sharing the carpark list, so my turn to contribute back to MCF.  [rolleyes]

I found a link to the user manual (in jap): http://www2.nissan.co.jp/SP/OM/SERENA/1507/manual_t00um1va5a-all.pdf

Noticed in page 47 of the manual that the auto door should be turned off when washing the car or doing maintenance. Anyone has any idea why?

Also, would like to check with the bros here who have collected their Serena what octane rating you are using? Page 62 of the manual states "Unleaded regular gasoline", which according to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating#Regional_variations) translates to RON 89 in Japan. Does that mean we can use RON 92 here?

Lastly, anyone has the English version of the manual (e.g. from Malaysia) or even the Chinese version (e.g. from HK/Taiwan) to share? So far I can only find the Jap version, and using Google Translate for everything is very slow...  :a-confused:

Copy and Paste from another Thread. Guessed we have made the right choice!  [thumbsup]  [thumbsup]  [thumbsup]

I managed to get hold of the carplus hk mag where they did a group comparison of Stepwgn, Noah, Serena and the Biante. Very extensive and informative, will try to scan some key info.

Performance for 0-70, 0-100, the Serena is the best as it has the best torque. Stepwgn has the most responsive performance for overtaking due to high torque available at lower rpm.

Space wise, Serena again wins with Biante and Noah doing well. Stepwgn has best legroom but generally poorest width. Boot storage is best with Noah.

Fuel efficiency wise is a virtual tie with Serena, Noah and Stepwgn, Biante is very slightly poorer.

Serena voted the most comfortable for 7/8 pax, Noah generally did well in almost all categories, Stepwgn best driving response for daily and Biante was the cheapest to own based on hk pricing.

When all 4 owners were given a choice to decide which ride they'd buy again after trying the rest, Noah and Stepwgn had 2.5 votes each, even from the Biante and Serena owners. Serena overall probably emerged the best in most catergories but all the boxy wagons were really closely matched.

So far I have not seen a single Serena on the road....really wonder why ...

AIG's insurance premium with 0% NCD is $2600 while NTUC and AXA are both $1800. I am thinking of paying the $500 penalty and go for AXA or NTUC. Still save about $300.

0% NCD is because my current policy still have 3 months before the NCD will increase by another 10%.

I'd made a search on LTA and couldn't find SKY registration. So there wouldn't be any SKY plates to be issued?

It was said no SKY plate sometime back. It's bidding for SKZ now.

$2600 with 0% NCD is very expensive. Have you tried using Aviva online quotation? It might be even cheaper.

Anyway, even with $1800, it definitely makes sense to pay the $500 penalty and save $300 overall.
