what type of material is your dashboard made of? hard plastic or soft touch rubbery material?

Civic FD.. Has both hard plastic and soft rubber

3m has tapes with different strengths. U may hv to experiment.

gotta be careful with the soft rubber material. u need a tape that is strong enough but doesn't tear out the underlying material.

 

hard plastic should be easy. No need scared residue too, as it should be easy to clean.

 

my defi meters hv been stuck to my dashboard (previous car hard material, current car soft rubber) for years. Wkshop had the "correct" tapes to use.
