I don't think that bad.. my wife has been driving a Renault for 2years no issue at all. maybe will only see after 5 years. but against I don't think that bad as most car should last 1-yrs

well I disagree... buying car is heng sway one... jap car can also happen...

totally agree. If you tell me there is no French cars on the road that is more than 5 years old, then probably its true. nowadays buying cars really heng sway, we are also seeing new jap/ german marquee brands cars broke down and being towed.

Went to kallang wave mall for viewing. Test drove can only be at showroom. No compartments and the back really cramped although front ok. Se gives poor car trade in price. I think the megane gt line diesel is much better. I wonder why the gb no sports mode aa I thought Renault sharing same getrag dsg gb aa ford or Volvo? Se says diff gb- I wonder whether he got good product knowledge. Cust svc aso bochap. Wat extra features like reverse cam? Do outside he says. Wat better value for ur old car? Sell outside. Wow!

I think besides buying car is heng sway, the SE who is assign to you also heng sway.. haha...

Just sharing my personal experience. Got a very bad experience at C&C Mitsubishi prior to my purchase at Wearnes at Renault. in fact trade in price given to my old car was the highest at Renault as compare to some PI and AD. so really luck i guessed, and also the timing at the showroom. I always believe to go car shopping on a weekday afternoon rather than a weekend. then the SE will have the time to slowly sit down and discuss terms with you.

Agree that reliability is random and sometimes I tend to associate that with the owner too as some car owners tend to take better care of their ride such as prompt maintenance and they are able to notice minor issues they become a major one and affect other parts.

I've had jap makes that gave me issues too but the VW I've had didn't gave me gearbox issue and the BMW didn't require engine oil top up every now and then.

I've just changed to a Citroen and I hope like any sound business/brand, they ought to know that it doesn't make sense to put unreliable vehicles on the road to tarnish their reputation and to decrease customer satisfaction due to frequent repair visits.

the team now is far cry from when they first took over in 2006-2010 heyday

i presume you copy n paste this.

Have to wonder then what the fark an ASPIRATED driving performance is....

aspirate

verb

past tense: aspirated; past participle: aspirated

ˈaspəreɪt/

1.

PHONETICS

pronounce (a sound) with an exhalation of breath.

"the aspirated allophone of p occurs in ‘pie’"

2.

MEDICINE

breathe (something) in; inhale.

"some drowning victims don't aspirate any water"

At least you were given a brochure, I walked into Toyota wasn't given anything. Walked out and eventually bought accent.

The Renault Clio comes with a tested and proven combination: a 1.5L turbocharged engine mated to a 6-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) gearbox. This pairing offers an effortless, smooth and aspirated driving performance. Capable of producing an impressive 220Nm of torque at just 1,750rpm, its powerful 1.5L dCi turbocharged engine enables you to move off the line instantaneously, which is perfectly suited for Singapores start-stop traffic.

Boasting a class-leading fuel-efficiency of 3.7 L/100km, frequent trips to the pump becomes a thing of the past

It's only 88bho.

But the low end torque of 220Nm at 1750rpm is super impressive along with its out of the world FC of 27km/l.

But sorry no continental ride for me.

But still will have minimum $5k ARF which translates to $2.5k part value, similar to attrage.

But the accessories and specifications are amazing for this car.. My only issue is its a continental aka difficult to maintain and reliability.

$99,999-$2500(parf)= $97500

Annual depreciation is $9.75k. Wow cheap for a continental.

What continental? just ask any of the regular mechanic and seek their advice before you plong your money on them.

check sg car mart for their resale price .

if it is stolen, it would be quite immediate to locate the car in SG by the police.

If it is Gumtree rental dispute, then you probably out of luck and have to use your own FB / Forum / instantgram means liao ....
