Thai launched 2 version.

1.8 and 1.5 turbo.

1.8: 895,000-999,000 baht (141HP)

1.5 turbo: 1,090,000 - 1,190,000 baht. (173HP)

Won't be cheap. Estimate 1.5 turbo around 125-130k in Singapore.

Man. Thai made? Kah motor, pls bring in the jap model.

Read that there might be a 1L turbo for our mkt to bring it under CAt A. Any news from Kah when r they launching the civic?

Ops. Juz saw this msg from Amazon777.

"Went to KM to service my CRV, service advisor quoted new 2016 civic arriving in Apr/May'16"

Thanks for the info bro.

Not to mention that it was voted Car of the Year against elantra 2017 and other sedans by Autoguide US and North Amercian Car of the Year.

yes thai made.

Doubt there will be a 1L turbo as the thai side don't have. Likely Kah motor will take from Thailand. So highly likely 1.8 and 1.5 turbo. (Highly likely but not 100%)

Thai official launch is march, BUT info i got is there are a lot of pre-orders. like really a lot of orders. So, there may be delay. Unlikely to be Apr (Their new year)/may. June/July should be possible.

Japan doesn't sell Honda Civic.

Is it? I didn't know that. So Civic mainly for ASEAN countries? hmmm. Thanks for the info.

Btw those who havent seen the digital dashboard of the new civic, it just looks awesome. The meters are all digital.

This is the night preview of the civic

Good and bad for digital screens, not as reliable as Analog type esp for the meters.

if the screen go haywire, then we won't be able to see anything. But it sure looks good.

I still like the 8th Gen Civic with just the speed reading in digital.

Goodbye VTEC. Hello TURBO.

Car Buyer mentioned that there will be two choices here

1.5 turbo 174bhp

1.0 turbo 3 cylinder 127bhp

1.0 turbo 3 cylinder 127bhp

This makes more sense as I've mentioned before.

1.0 for the cost conscious but still wanting the Honda brand

1.5 for the die hards who don't mind paying more for more hp.

Win win situation for Kah. A Civic each in Cat A and B :a-m1212:

One volume seller and another to uphold the Civic virtues!!

Supersonic

They should use the 1.5TC & apply it on a Jazz with a reinforced frame/chasis.  Jazz Type R.  [idea]

Do it like what they did for the Colt R / Colt Ralliart turbo.

Nice.... 1.5turbo sure ex like that. 1.0 higher than mz3/altis and cannot compete with jazz, probably at 105k-115k, 1.5 turbo must be at least 10-20k away. 130k seems like a sweet spot.

1.0 turbo dunno can drag the vehicle well not.
