Hi guys. Test drove the 1.6. I am impressed.very in fact :) Good driving position and sufficient power in move off and cruising. No wonder it is such a great seller. Just slightly concerned about the 2 airbags only but I guess nothing is perfect lah.

I guess if u can get over how underspeced it is...

Yeah indeed. I guess our eyes are wide open if we choose this model. It is not perfect but given the circumstances it may be a prudent choice.

Depends how much you value it to the price of the car.

Else, go for it.

Actually the specs was something that bothered me a bit before I decided to get the 1.6.

2 airbags? - Its something you would never want to use it, no matter how many you are given.

Honda sensing - Actually without this, you might become a better driver as you will be more alert to the surroundings.

Rain sensing wipers - I have this in my current car, but usually don't use it any way.

Fog lamps - I can hardly think of any use in Singapore except for the rare occasions when there is a extreme downpour.

I tested the 1.5 Turbo too and although it is a much better drive, my passengers felt no difference between the two. Close to $20k difference to pay for slightly better drive feel is a bit too much though.

What swayed me was the higher OMV compared to many other cars. Was considering the Subaru XV and Impreza too. Its only about $4k cheaper for the Impreza, but the OMV is about $5k lower compared to the Civic. Do your sums right and you know that it is a better deal even though on paper, the specs doesn't look that impressive.

2 air bags and no other choices other than the black interior are some of the most common concerns raised.

Like Altis, which started with 2 airbags and now more, think they may increase the airbags in future

For side impact, the lack of airbags is a real concern

otherwise, the drive for 1.6 is good enough though 1.5 with the much higher power, sunroof, rims plus other features is still value for money

Some people I know are more concerned about leather seats than 2 air bags. :XD:

Ridiculous but true. Haha...but seriously unless one is involved in a serious accident (touchwood of course) before,we will never treasure and prioritize the value of safety airbags and whatever features a car has. For me unfortunately, this 2 airbags are a deal-breaker for me. I couldn't compromise.

KM is overwhelmed with orders. Last weekend alone garnered double the sales of any usual month, as I were told.
