It's a rather good price now.

I think standard freebies are:

- solar film

- car mats

- front and rear cams

Ya i was considering this in December, then even the demo car was sold away. I Think in Thailand honda sense comes as standard on the Lx, but sg don't have, so i gave up the idea. But agreed that is a very very long wait.

Anyone here picked the Civic 1.5T over the Mazda 6? If yes, why?

I took the 1.5 for the Torque and low road tax! Engine noise when rev hard, sounds rough on a Mazda 6 2.5.

After driven for more than a year, it seems that the built quality of Mazda is better. My 1.5T paint work is pretty bad.

Yah, I just took a test drive last week. The low end torque is good. Feel the pull when moving off the lights. It feels even faster than my 2L turbo.

At medium speeds and WOT, that's where the higher capacity engines perform. In the cabin, the engine sound is quite loud and rough. Seems like soundproofing is not enough.

Overall for SG City driving, I think the 1.5t is a very good performer. Although at the price of 112k, it's a bit steep for small family sedan.

Just collected my 1.5.

It was down to 1.5 vs mz6 when shortlisting the cars for consideration.

For 1.5T - Didn't wannna drive a big car and worry about small carparks, prefer the extra pickup of the 1.5, prefer design of civic. Did my financial calculations and mz6 was more expensive over 10 years (Road tax, fuel, parf), when the sound of turbo kicks in... Ooh...

For mz6 - However, giving up on made in Japan quality (you can search for honda Thailand and mazda Japan factory videos and you'll see a distinct diff in the attitude & demeanour of the workers) , luxurious interior, longer wheelbase equating to more comfort (couldn't feel a thing when doing a u-turn at Alexandra). Wondering about premature (<10k servicing) when engine oil is low, wondering about durability of cvt vs conventional auto.

I don't mind sharing the financial calculations spreadsheet but end of the day, u really should test drive and choose the one that makes u feel alive.

I did.
