Haha I see thanks for the clarification. Last time buy car I remember nvr take loan end up being more expensive and no freebie lol. End up taking the shortest loan.

I just bought the Honda civic 1.6 at kah motor several days ago. Today I called my SE and double check with her how much for the balances I have to pay so I can prepare the Cheque accordingly. She sent me the "balance payment breakdown" in photo to illustrate all the numbers. Here my question comes, in that document, it states "hirer name:xxxxxx" but not the owner or purchaser. I bought the new car but not renting it. Why I'm the hirer? I trust kah motor and my SE, I just want to check if everyone got the same and make sure everything alright.

Technically you can say that but you want to take 40% of the car only?

 

As long as you take a loan, you are considered a hire purchaser and the bank can repossess it if you fail to repay. But after you repay the loan fully, the car is basically under your full ownership.

I paid 40% down payment, should I at least own 40% of the car? :).

The reason you can get the 60% loan is because this 40% ownership of yours is pledge as a collateral to get the 60% loan from the bank and hence, this is tentative "held" by the bank under certain terms in your hire purchase agreement.

 

One of the term is that in

the case of a default, the bank does not need to seek consent from you to sell off your ride to recover their loan. Simple as that.

Depend how old are you lah. Harrier is like camry, for mid-age uncle one. Interior is good, luxury feeling but lack of power.

Both cars are good. 1 is sedan and 1 is SUV. 1 higher road tax and 1 lower road tax. Wun go wrong with either choice.
